We were welcomed by the owner who is retiring from the business and later by the enthusiastic new owners. The campground is quiet, well shaded, easily accessible before getting to Sumpter. The welcome packet has a good summary of Sumpter’s history and things to do around the area. It is a good campground for hunters, ATV’ers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Though the restrooms were closed, the grounds are well kept. By evening all the campsites around us were filled. Due to the pines’ shade, the high 90’s temps were not oppressive and sitting out was enjoyable. No mosquitoes!!!
Location: Off the beaten path, but easily accessed from main drag into Sumpter.
Cleanliness: would have given 5 stars, if I could have seen the restrooms, which I would assume are as neat as the rest of the property is. The grounds are dusty from the lack of paving.
Site quality: Shaded, adequately spaced, most level, utilities good.
Noise: all campers were very considerate of each other.
WiFi: reliable, good and fast!

Beautiful RV park under the pine trees. Bathrooms and laundry are clean. Spacious sites. Great hiking, biking and if you ATV right from the campsite. We will be back!

I thought this place would be dusty and have lots of ATV noise! It was very well layed out, clean, and quiet! Yes, dusty but not bad at all. Those with ATVs were very respectable. Friendly and helpful owners. Close to little town of Sumpter; no grocery store but little convenience store. The Nugget Cafe had great coffee! Don’t pass up the Corn Dog Stand either! Special during week, got 3 nights stay for cost of two!

Sumpter RV Park
We have stayed here twice and both times enjoyed the RV park. They are under new management and are making a great effort to make their guest's stay very pleasing. I rate this one very high.
