I rolled in around midnight and circled the parking lot before choosing a spot. Everything looked clean and safe. I picked a spot along the hillside straight out from the front of the store as far away from the sore front as I could get.

The review before me wasn’t good, but I guess a lot can change in two and a half years. This place is great for an overnight. The parking lot is well lit, and there appears to be employees occasionally in and out of the store through the night.

I had generator issues and was up most of the night making repairs. From midnight to 5am, I didn’t see anything suspicious at all.

I was the only travel trailer in the lot, but there were probably a dozen other campers in Class B camper vans parked on the backside of the lot.

I didn’t notice any signs saying no overnight parking like mentioned in the previous post, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t there.

I have some shopping to do in the morning when they open, and will try to ask mgmt about their overnight parking policies. I’ll try to update with another post later.

Overall, I think it is a great spot.

I just called and talked to the store, and there is no overnight parking. The store space is rented, therefore Dick’s CANNOT give permission to stay overnight. They told me the Property Owner will have your RV towed.

I took the time to look up the regulations, and as of today it is completely legal to camp here. I will post a screenshot of the camping regulations for verification.

To get here, you turn off the highway at a pump station and cross a canal. The road Tee’s. Take a right, and drive around the large fuel tanks.

There is a sign on a concrete barrier on the side that says “Authorized vehicles Only”. Ignore it. It is a parking warning to keep people from parking in front of the fuel tanks. It will make sense when you drive past.

Immediately after making the corner, you can drive down next to the canal. If it is occupied, there is a nice turn around just a little farther down the road that any RV could turn around. If you are pulling doubles or tripples, don’t stay here. You won’t be able to turn around.

You can also take a left at the pimp station, and camp on that side, but you have to drive down either to canal road or the dike road for about 1/4 mile to turn around. I think any trailer under 30 ft would be do-able, but a very tight turn. I would not take a class A to the left

I’m here on a Friday night, and there is jo one else around. The highway is pretty busy. Lots of locals here fishing when I arrived around 5pm. They were all very friendly and helpful.

It feels safe. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, I think this is a diamond in the rough. There is some noise from the pump station, but it’s not bad, and you cannot hear it inside the camper.

Great place to camp if you have a full tank of fresh water already. It is very peaceful and quiet. Restrooms are clean, but don’t use the water for anything other than flushing your black tank. It has enough chlorine in it to make your skin burn if you shower, and sometimes it is colored almost brown.

There is no fee booth. A guy comes by around 8am every day and collects camping fees. It’s $15 normally. I think it might be $10 if you’re a senior.

Like I said, very nice, quiet, peaceful place, just don’t run the water through your RV.

Park is under new ownership. It is now called East Toho Resort & Marina. I have driven through the park, but not stayed there - yet.

The entire park is under tree canopy. It’s really impressive. Nearly every site is well shaded. When I drove through, there were lots of leaves everywhere, but a lot of the sites were cleaned up without leaves. I am assuming the resident did that, not the park.

I just talked to them today (4/22/2022). Monthly rates are $750 + electric. Electric is $0.12/kWh. They said they do not have seasonal rates, but that rates will go up October 1st. They do long term stays, but that process is still being ironed out, and hopefully by October they will know the long term rates. They said long term stays will require a lease.

They said all sites are full hookup and have patios.

They said the park is on well water, but that sewage is tied into city sewage. I don’t know what the water quality is, but if they are tied into city sewer.

I loved it here. I stayed 2 nights. I rode my Harley to Key West after the first night and took off after the 2nd night. Place feels safe. I had no problem leaving my vehicle and RV unattended while I was on the Harley all day.

Showers are clean. Sites are clean. I think it is a great place. All my neighbors were great.

I will definitely stay here again.
