We were passing through with our 25’ bumper pull. Staid one night. There is a pig toilet that’s really clean for a free place. There several spots (guessing 8-10) and we had no problem fitting into probably any spot. We were on the East side. There’s a nice stream that is near by and I saw some people fishing it.
When heading west on 50 you take the exit go under and soon after turn left to go east on a gravel road. It’s not too far and you’ll see an opening with a pit toilet and what appears to be a circle camping spot. It almost looks like a place where the cowboys would tie up their horses on one end too.
There are shady spots as well as more sunny spots if you want to get good solar like me.
We had no service with Verizon, but a few more mins down the road we had service again (when we left)

You can hear the road but it’s not bad as there is a berm blocking it. Yes you will hear it but I would not complain personally.

We camped here for one night. Bathrooms are clean and it has a nice setup in comparison to most rest stops. Smaller rest stop but no biggy. You’ll hear trucks idling and cars on the highway as you’re right there. All what you’d expect at a rest stop.

Nicest thing for us was the bathroom as our camper was winterized because it was below freezing and it was our last night. Thus the bathroom right there made it easy.

Stayed one night. Will only do it again if we bring war plugs. It is what you can expect. You’ll hear the highway and truckers pulling in/out. This was a first staying at a rest stop and we learned somethings like put some ear plugs in the camper just in case.

It was a nice stop as the bathrooms are clean. There’s a couple lights so you feel save walking to use the rest room at night.

We arrived and the place was empty. Shortly after we arrived there were 2 others who camped there. Lots of open spots.
Take the upper road off the main road. Then you’ll see it to the right. Most have a picnic table and fire pit. There was a soft that was a muddy spot at one time. The camping spots are a bit soft but we had no issues at all.

We have a 25ft long camper and there was plenty of room to back in and stay connected to make it easy to pull out in the morning.

We found some dry wood for a small fire to have at night. Was cold for sure at night but good during the day.

This is a must visit place. We camped at site 1 and there were a few others. Nice stream near by giving a nice Ambience. Views were amazing at night and my wife and I woke up to watch the sun rise. A little road traffic as people came in/out but that’s it. Ours even had a fire pit - not that we used it.

We have a 25ft bumper pull
We parked in the area kind of behind the sign.
There’s space there for a few campers and I think more down the road

It’s not very flat so plan on leveling

There’s some trash around but not bad in the end

Do know it’s the desert so it’ll be hot during the day and there is no shade. We used a generator to help it cool off at night

There is a gas station at the exit you take. Just follow the road and go left. You’ll loose pavement when you turn into the camping area.

This is one of those places you’ve been looking for

Camp sites are spaced out well for the most part. Most are fairly level - ours had a hill to get into it but flattish on the top…just had to pickup one side a few inches.

It says 15amp but I’m fairly sure they all are 30Amp as that’s what I saw when I looked at a few sites.

There is a nice walk way down to the lake. The path with stairs is closer to the 8-10 camp site parking area. There are many other ways to get there but require driving to another area. There is an accessible paths to get all the way there as well as an accessible fishing area. This was awesome for my son.

Generally speaking the days are not too hot and cool off at night. Host has firewood for sale if needed.

There are several pit toilets and kept clean too. Generally there is a water source by them too.

We have a 25’ bumper pull and had no problem finding a spot.
If you come in the next few days do know there’s a bunch of Norman crickets. This was the only down fall of the place or it’d be a 5 star. However they don’t hurt you and generally just hop away from you. They are not loud at night either so don’t worry about that.
Yes some spots are not flat at all but we had no problem finding a spot.
Walking the trails was fun for our family of 4

You can hear the road from time to time at night but it’s for sure in the distance.
It was früher off the road that I originally thought but not far at the same time. There is parking to the left and camping to the right. The signs will remind you too. It’s a one way loop even though I feel you’d have to go backwards for 1 or 2 spots.
There are 3 bathrooms. 2 are in the parking area and the other is in the “middle” of the camping. From the one I used - clean.
Another camper claimed to see a rattle snake. I never found it but just be aware they could easily be around. If you don’t know much about them…they will warn you with the rattle and just give them space/respect and you’ll enjoy the time.

We camped there over spring break. The place was about 1/2 full. Showers are clean. We mostly used it as a place to sleep. It does have a playground for kids that we used once or twice.

BLM is just a bit down the road. We could tell they were there but mostly just around dinner time (ATVs and music) it was never bad just knew they were there. Camp ground is kept up well and ours came with a pass to 2 other areas as well.
Cell service was basically gone. From time to time txt messages would come but not reliable.
