This place is awesome. Site are large and mostly pull thru’s. Bathrooms were spotless and well as the laundry which was $1.50 for washer and dryer. Well kept with nice picnic table and fire/pit BBQ at every site. Everything worked well and the managers were fabulous. If you need to be in Alpine, this,would be a destination park.

Easy access off I-40. Office, bathrooms and the entire park were spotless. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything at the site worked well. Almost no road noise.

We stayed here with Passport America discount. $20 a night plus $4 resort amenity fee. Amenities are nonexistent. Campground was quiet and comfortable but could be a lot busier if they spent the money to fix and update it. Most of the electric sites were not functional. Pool was not open yet, but looked like there would be a lot of work to get it open. Internet access in the lodge sucked. adequate AT&T signal for our hot spot. Putt putt golf course was in state of disrepair and dirty. Grounds were maintained very well. Our site had adequate electric, water and sewer hookups. Long narrow asphalt road leading to the campground.

Friendly and attentive staff. Very well cared for rv park. Their maintenance pays attention to detail. Everything was spotless clean and worked. Easy freeway access.

This could be a nice little RV park, but it is really run down. No one at the office, no Wifi code, sewer drain was broken and the whole park was in a serious state of disrepair. We got $15 with Passport America, and that's all it was worth. Needs more than TLC, needs a makeover!!

Very friendly staff. Sites are the largest I’ve camped. Super spacing between sites. Very quiet and relaxing. $21 reflects Passport America price. Everything worked as designed. Town of Mathis is not much, but only 30 minutes from Corpus Cristi for shopping. Mathis does have a HEB grocery store and basic services. Internet needs to be purchased for $3.29/mo. at 3Mgb. Works great for email etc.

Park is very well organized with lots of amenities. Everything was clean, but a long walk as the park is quite large. Ladies in the office are great. Only reason we would not stay again is because the sites are so close together. They have great and affordable premium sites, but they are booked up a year or more in advance. Packed in tighter than bark on a tree!!
Cable was a bit of a hassle, but worked great as did everything else at the site. We paid for a month, but only stayed 17 days. It was cheaper for a whole month than their weekly rate. We did have lots of loud music next to us playing at night until 10 PM.

All is self serv kiosk. First come first serv. 10 spaces with concrete parking pad, some picnic tables, full hookups, dumpster for garbage and adequate spacing. All worked well. Certainly nothing fancy, but great access off I-35 with lots of retail for reloading.

Only negative is the TV reception over the air was zero. Not a destination park, but served our travel needs very well.

Really run down with a lot of sketchy full timers. That said, hookups worked well even though they appeared as they should not. Mostly pull through sites. Adequate overnight only stop. Site was level. Easy access off Hwy 90.

Big rig friendly. Water and vault toilets about 1 1/4 mi. away at the Empire Ranch Historic site. No dump station. Primitive fire rinds with only 1 mile or so of gravel. Road in from Hwy 83 is paved until the Empire Ranch. Very quiet, peaceful and large well spaced level sites. Sign has said future site for a BLM campground for about 6 years now. So far there is no charge.
