Stayed August 27-30, 2023. Clean pit toilets and water available. I picked lots of ripe salal berries and red huckleberries, which were delicious together. Many open sites when we were there and it was very quiet. A Pacific Wren entered our campsite each morning and foraged close to us.

Camped August 30 and September 6-8. Lovely campground with almost all the sites right on the ocean. On a clear day you can see Alaska islands and mountains. So many beautiful stones on the beach. Pit toilets were clean. Water is NOT potable. Good tide pools North along the coast if you have low tides.

Beautiful site. Off Road G just west of milepost 6, look for road to the north with cattle guard. Gate was closed so we closed it behind us. Road signed “private property stay on road” and goes for 1 mile before reaching BLM property and sign that it is Road 4526. Road rough. Camped almost immediately at a large private site on the right surrounded by giant dark rock.

Arrived late and were very happy with the directions provided. Nice bathroom, perfect shower, Wi-Fi worked. Would gladly stay again.

Stayed two separate nights, when coming and going on the ferry to Port Rupert. August 25 and September 10. Tent area has great view of estuary with eagles. Clean bathroom and coin showers and recycling. Rental cabins looked great from the outside. Wi-Fi too.

We got stuck in the sand and spent quite a while using our Max Trax and a shovel to extract our 2-wheel drive Sportsmobile. Left as soon as we got our vehicle back on the road. Not happy campers.

Conveniently close to I-10 for a quick overnight while traveling. Great TMobile coverage. Solid gravel parking areas. Gas station conveniently located across highway intersection.

Delightful campsites, but surprised there was no sign where road left highway. One other camper. Two clean outhouses. Gravel road in good shape. Stream flowing along side the camping area. Two bars of ATT LTE.

Lovely camping area, enjoyed the 1-mile loop trail with trail brochure to see the “toadstool” formations. Clean bathrooms. Appreciated the covered picnic table when it started to rain. Birdwatching. Fossil mammal bone fragments and tracks. Paid 7.50, senior rate.

We paid the $15, then discovered the bathroom was locked. We were in a tent and needed the bathroom. There should have been a sign indicating the bathroom was locked. I called City maintenance and was told the water was not turned on yet. Site small and crowded. We left without camping.
