This campground is about 30 minutes off highway 80, and the drive in includes stunning mountain views. We were surprised at now nice and organized this rec area was for being free. The "rv spots" were not very wide, but pretty long, and 2 spots in particular could accommodate any size RV. Each site included a fire pit, picnic table, and trash can. The sites back up to an active creek, and have some mountain views, but not as impressive as when you first drive up. There were 3 pit toilet style restrooms that were clean. We arrived on a Saturday night and only shared the place with a tent camper. Verizon cell service was really spotty, bouncing from no service to 1 bar 3G in the trailer. If we walked 100 yards up the hill, towards the entrance, we could get 2 bars LTE. We quickly tried setting up the booster and didn't find it to help, but more time messing with the antenna may have proven successful.

We too shared this place with just one tent camper. We had to park just two spots down from them to be in an area where the creek wasn't as swift, otherwise we could not have let our dogs and cat near the creek. It was wonderfully quiet. Only bad thing for us was foxtails getting in our dogs fur, and some sort of grass that seemed to be like drugs to them, they always taste the local fauna a bit, but they couldn't seem to stop themselves from munching.

Rolled in late at night and woke up to a beautiful landscape. I came in on a Wednesday night and stayed until Friday afternoon. There was only one other campsite occupied when I got there and 2 more joined on Friday. Was quite and peaceful. There is a beautiful steam that runs through the site, bbq grills and fire puts. Lovely stay. I walked up the hill and sat for awhile to take in the views. Would 100% stay again.

took a 36 foot toyhauler in here. It is a ways down the gravel road. Little bit of washboard. Small creek runs through camp ground. Was greeted by a herd of deer in the morning.

We stopped for one night on our way down I80. 20 mile detour off the interstate, but a nice little campground. Clean pit toilets. Some sites have fire pits and concrete picnic tables, small creek running through it. Shared the campground with two other campers.

Stayed here for three nights scouting my deer unit. Had the place almost to myself. Deer came right into the campground to drink from the nice little creek. East side is shadiest with some mature trees.

Came in at night and the morning the scene was somewhat apocalyptic. Smoky due to CA fires and it appeared there had been a fire there at some point. Bare dirt hills with burned sticks left, big trees that had been burned and cut down, big mining trucks that started driving down the road behind campground early in the morning, cows wandering around trying to scrounge up food from the small amount of grass there and cow poop everywhere.
That being said, we were glad to find it after a 12 hour drive. Plenty of sites available, most were fairly level, sites had tables and fire rings, the creek behind camp ran clear and some big trees did remain by the creek. It’s about 4 miles on a dirt road that is in fairly good shape if a bit washboard. We did not see any signs on way in so definitely follow map there. Signal was sporadic and not good enough to do anything. Very quiet and lots of stars at night.

Great location for stopover. Clean and quiet, but looks like a recent fire clobbered to big old cottonwoods. Upper sites tucked against hill provide some shelter from strong SW winds.

Stayed here 1 night while heading south. This campground is 4 miles off the highway on a wide well maintained gravel road. The site was level and long enough to stay connected. Camped at the foothills next to a small creek and large Cottonwood tree.
