We have a 43 foot fifth wheel, and this spot worked perfectly for us to be able to overnight, and visit lava Hot Springs. A few dips in the road, and we have very low clearance, we just took it slow and we were fine. We got the perfect spot for our size rig, backed up to a rock formation. Only two other campers in the area, nice and quiet, beautiful night stars, we felt very secure.. we would definitely stay here again.

Lots of camping in this Northern AZ area. They just cleared the area because of all the recent fires so it is not as wooded as it used to be, but still a great area to camp. Willow Springs lake is great for fishing, lots of trout, and one of our favorite lakes to kayak on. It has very easy access to the boat ramp, nice areas on the edge of the lake for picnics and there are 2 port a pottys.

The Staff Here Is Very Friendly. We arrived in April w/o a reservation and they had plenty of spots for our big rig.
This location is very close to downtown, bear world, the falls, 20 minutes from the Costco, and easy to get to, right off of both Highway 20 and interstate 15.
2 hours from Grand Teton, 1 hr 45min from West Yellowstone.
You would definitely be staying here for easy access location, rather than atmosphere of the actual park.
Like Others Have Said, The Perimeter Is Full Of A Lot Of Full Timers.
One previous review said to be next to the pool and office. But I highly disagree. They put us right next to the pool, and it was gross. No picnic table, no fire pit, just a bunch of dirty leaves and a green gross pool.
You are best to stay in the center area.
Spots B5-13 would be your best pics.
In C section every other rig comes in opposite direction so you are close (see photo for example)

Spots E6-9 are good, as are A32, C12-15

We stayed here for two nights. We have a 43 foot fifth wheel, and had plenty of space. The sites had a picnic table rocks in between them no fire pits. My husband didn’t like that the dump holes were elevated, but other than that everything was wonderful.
We saw Security driving around continuously. There was a pool, hot tub, we had views of the vineyards. Didn’t hear much of the highway traffic at all.
One point to make it easier for the rest of you. Most of the gas stations around there carried bio diesel. Only the Sinclair and shell had diesel number two.
Both of those are harder to get into, so we recommend you fill up while you are detached from your rig.
Also I highly recommend going to the Michael David Winery for breakfast!! Everything was so good, breakfast was about $16 each, but I am gluten-free, and they let me have fruit instead of toast.
They also have a little store where you can pick up bottles of wine, fruit, salami‘s, and cheeses, also cookies pastries and pies.

This is now our third winter staying here. We absolutely love it. We have made so many wonderful new friends. Everybody gives us advice about our summer travels. Some people say it’s too expensive but I divided the cost by 30 days and it’s only $42 a night. For a full hook ups. Anywhere else in town, You were paying a minimum of 69 a night. Granted that’s because we booked for four months. There are so many activities to do, it’s like we’re staying at a five star resort, nightly bands, and music, good food, drinks are a little pricey, but if you’re outside the fenced area, you can use your own alcohol.

After driving 10 hours through California with our 43 foot fifth wheel, we needed a place to stay. The Morango casino was a blessing. The directions say to go straight up towards their new travel center, but the new policy just put in place -you need to stay on Seminal Drive, turn left into the main casino, and then follow the valet instructions. Do you have plenty of clearance at valet even for the largest rig. I am including pictures. They will give you a parking pass, and then you’ll park in the upper North lot.
On the upper west side of the casino, they are building a full-fledged RV resort, they said it should be open by January 2024.
Personally we went straight to the north lot, parked, then walked to valet, we had a picture of our license plate in our rig, and they gave us the parking pass.
Inside the casino the pink coffee café has a very wonderful espresso..(i’m pretty picky)
Their new travel center had wonderful fuel prices compared to most of California.
One of the things we liked the most, was there was constantly security driving around, and cameras everywhere. So we felt very secure!!

We Have A 43 Foot Fifth Wheel. Luckily We Scouted Out This Location Before Bringing Our Rv Down. The Road Down To The State Park Was Pretty Curvy, And There Was A Very Low Hanging Wire. I Don’t Think We Could’ve Gotten Under It. Also Once In The Park There Were Two Turns We Would Not Have Been Able To Make. So While This Is A Beautiful Site, Right On The Lake, It Is Not Appropriate For Rigs Over 40 Feet.

If you're looking for dispersed camping in Northern AZ, this is a great area. We had a group of 8 campers, and found a wonderful spot with lots of trees, great roads, easy access, and we could walk 1/2 mile and get verizon cell service (right where Lake Mary Rd meets Stoneman lake Rd). we were there on Memorial Weekend, and there were still plenty of areas for more camping, and no one was on top of each other. the only downside was there were lots of Razors/quads driving the roads. We dumped on the way home at the Giant in Payson, AZ which is free. to get supplies, we either had to go 30 miles north to flagstaff, or 10 min to Happy Jack.(but their prices are high. I recommend you just come prepared) One person in our group did a 20 mile mountain bike ride, and we hiked 4 miles every day.
