Based on the reviews here we chose this place for an overnight. What a great campground. Road in is packed down so no issues there. Every site along the edge is a good site. Our site was level and had a little trail to the water. Our dogs loved the lake and we loved the view. There is rig parking near the boat ramp parking bathrooms with a water spicket for filling up.
I booked this site on line a few hours before we arrived. Our hotspot had plenty of signal for streaming and the folks next to us had good starlink signal.

Bought concert tickets RV park was open but full. Got on a wait list. A month goes by and still no space so we decided to just overnight in the parking lot and shuttle to the concert. Nope security came immediately and said they no longer allow any overnight parking anywhere except the rv park which is full.
Had VIP concert tickets and had to drive to Walmart in Sonora for the night. Another person told me her sister came in day of with no reservation, what happened to the waiting list. Very frustrating won't spend money there again.

I stayed here while traveling alone based on the reviews and it was perfect. As other folks said I reserved a back in site in row K, perfect large space exta large for folks with trailers and trucks. I used the dog park to wear out my dogs before we moved on, really nice big with grass. Its a bit run down but I definitely recommend.

We are in the non hookup sites which is basically a parking lot but spaces are super wide and we are on the beach.

I was prepared for noise but it's actually quieter than many other campgrounds, the waves help! You can walk down the beach to a couple restaurants .8 miles.
You can also Uber into Capitola, they pick you up at your site.
