If you know what you’re getting yourself into you’ll be delighted, but if you’re looking for spacious campsites with fire pits this is not the place. This worked out well for us for an overnight stay. The staff, store, and breakfast was excellent. The resort also has live music nightly.

No frills casino parking lot that allowed us to easily explore the Leelanau peninsula. Complimentary dump station and portable water for RV guests.

Made reservations in advance by filling out application, which was confirmed the next day. Stopped by the “security” guard on the way in, could not have been less friendly or helpful to guide us to the RV area. Backed into an open spot then called the host as instructed in the confirmation email. The host told us the sites were overbooked even though we arrived to two open spots. I explained that we already backed into an open spot and he said again that it is overbooked and asked if we were self contained. I mentioned that we needed electric and he said one of the sites isn’t working and that he’d be back in about an hour to work something out with us. We decided to find other accommodations since it was unclear if we would have a spot or not. Recommend avoiding this place altogether. We found a nice family campground about 20 min outside of the city for $5 more than we were going to pay at the fairgrounds. I have stayed at fairgrounds before that were great, but this experience was terrible.

Convenient location for the national Park. Mostly horse camp (it’s in the name), but we were able to secure an electric site on a Saturday with short notice. Very friendly and helpful front office. Only 1 bar of service so would not recommend for any remote workers.

Campground hosts were very friendly. There are no pull or back-in sites, you literally are parked on the side of the road. Campground is in a secluded area of the National Park, took about 20 mins to travel to the main park road. Would stay again.

If we were to stay here again we would stay on the Mountain View side, creek side sites were very tight. We had 3 bars of service which allowed us to work remotely.

Scenic and spacious waterfront sites. Older, but hot showers. Family friendly. Had 2-3 bars of service, which worked well for our hotspot.

We had great service to work remotely, however, campground WiFi was only available near the store. Outer loop sites are preferable due to the spacious lot size.

For being a fairground, giving this a 5 star. Security guard was very friendly and helpful. We stayed when there were no events, so there were very few campers. Great location within the city.

Recommend south side outer loop sites based on size and privacy. Had heavy rain and many sites were flooded, however, our site did not. Great spot to access lake. Service for working remotely. 3 min drive to The Natural golf course.
