We had some engagements in San Diego for a month and couldn't get into Mission Bay due to their trailer age restrictions and campland was full. Chula Vista was our 3rd choice, but it's not a bad place to stay. Downtown is 15-20 min away and the amenities are nice. We definitely brought the median age down while we were here, but everyone was very personable to us. The camp wifi allegedly works, but I never got it going. AT&T and Verizon both show decent signal but speeds are slow. (2-4mbps)

We've stayed here twice, once for a week and once for 2 weeks. The first time we booked, we were in the older side of the park (with a slightly cheaper rate). On the older side, the sites aren't extremely well maintained, and the facilities make a prison bathroom look ritzy...seriously, though, did they buy the fixtures at a prison outlet store? The 2nd time we stayed, we knew to book the newer side of the park at the $30 a night rate (site 72). That side is MUCH nicer. The sites are brand new, paved parking, nice landscaping, new hookups and the showers/bathrooms are top notch (though you have to pay $0.75 for a shower). There is some light hiking nearby in the park which is nice if you have dogs.

Quartz Creek Campground sits between Kenai Lake and Quartz Creek. It’s a beautiful location with water access and views. When we arrived on a Saturday, the campground was full, but we lucked into a cancelled reservation for a waterfront site.
Pros: beautiful location, large sites.
Cons: can be packed on the weekends with reservations, cell service is pretty iffy and wasn’t fast enough for working. Bathrooms aren’t maintained very well. Dump station costs an additional $8.

We drove through and considered staying here. It’s not a bad spot, just mediocre. It has cell service and is reasonably secluded. Not bad.

Hereforthebeer's review below sums up a lot of our experience. The staff seemed to be overzealous and itching to slap a pink violation sticker on anything and everything. Arrive 15 minutes before check in? Please pay the day use fee. Spill any fresh water while hooking up? Get accused of leaking sewage (we compost!). We had an adjoining reservation for the same spot due to limited availability when we booked. At precisely check-out time, a faceless hand slapped a citation sticker on our window for being there "past check out". Admittedly, my fault for not getting our new sticker for the new reservation earlier, but the lack of any leeway for campers makes this whole park feel like a prison. At $65 a night for no hookups, we definitely won't be back.

Pros:
Well maintained
Plenty of first-come sites and an overflow area pretty much guarantee a spot.
Cons:
High price for a provincial park
Very busy
Sites can be unlevel. We needed 6 blocks.
Cell service is slow, even boosted.

Note: the cell service is “off network” for ATT and Verizon. That meant we could only use 100mb despite our “unlimited” plan. Google Fi will use the network here just as it uses others. Overall a fine site. The bathrooms and dump station are closed in the winter.

If you need to be in Guerrero Negro for internet or errands, this is the nicest option in town. It’s brand new, so some kinks are being worked out, but I could see it becoming 5 stars next time.
It’s a small park with a tight entrance so small vehicles are best. Cell coverage is Telcel which American carriers should roam on. Download/upload of 40mbps on cell. Wi-Fi is great close to the house and is about 30 mbps.
Pros:
Feels nicer and safer than other parts of town.
New and attractive construction
Great owners/hosts
Beautiful plants
Great Wi-Fi and cell
Nice picnic bench to work at with umbrella
Cons
No hookups or dump
Hot water for shower has very little water pressure
Dirt lot tracks sand in easily
Tight entrance

This place is lovely! The owners keep it very clean and it has good vibes.
The restaurant is very good for coffee and food and the Wi-Fi is cable (not satellite like most places around here). There is no cell service until Guerrero Negro. Not sure why it was previously reported.
$8 per person for a beachfront palapa. A large trailer could fit into palapa #4 but smaller vehicles work best here.
Hot showers, no dump station.

I think everyone else summed things up well. We stayed here because of the lack of service at the Laguna and we had to work. The LTE is fast, the wifi is slow and intermittent. The margaritas are some of the worst I've had, and the restaurant is nothing to venture out for. If you're hungry, hit the taco truck down the street painted like a gray whale and order the camarones. It _may_ be the best spot in town, but that's not saying much.
