I often stay here when in Alaska to break up what would otherwise be a long drive. It is fairly secluded and quiet. There are several pull-through spots for the larger rigs and several smaller back-in spots for the smaller rigs. Also there is a separate area which seems to be designed for ‘group campers’. The camping spots are in a wooded area and there is no noise from the main highway.

Campground nice enough, larger, private sites and pull-thrus are to the right. Quiet. But the bugs were worst we’ve ever experienced traveling all over Canada and Alaska.

August 3, 2023 - Arrived late from Whittier-Valdez Ferry.. Just needed to sleep for the night. Sites were Not maintained.. One to two foot high grasses, so many Mosquitoes that we couldn’t even open the doors without them literally flooding into the vehicle. Getting to the vault toilet was uncomfortable even with bug spray on.. Bugs were so bad we didn’t go to the Fee station to pay the fee before we Bedded down- In the morning we consider If E we should Even pay as we Left at 5:30 Am But We Did and the mosquitoes Filled the vehicle again In the morning but we did pay Because that is the right thing to do.

We stayed here for one night 8/22. Very few mosquitoes during the day, more at night as to be expected. We were the only campers until about 5pm, a handful of others rolled in. Plenty of sites, many don’t look like they’ve been used for the season. Dry camping- there appeared to be a small water tank to fill up jugs but that was it. Half of the vault toilets were locked. Quite a few potholes on the road in. $20 seems a bit high for what you get…does not appear to be well maintained. But it met our needs and was quiet and right off the highway.
