Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on February 25, 2024The camping here is nothing to write home about. Just a gravel lot with some water and 20-amp electric outlets, of which some may or may not work. It is the best place to base camp out of to visit Guerrero Negro, since it is the only one within walking distance of town itself. The restaurant is a great dinner place with an upper scale feel compared to most places in Baja and food was delicious. Bathrooms were suitable (don't flush your paper) but the showers had hot water only one of the 6 days we were there. Being in the middle of town you can not expect peace and quiet either. Sirens, barking, motorcycles, etc will be common place.
Wifi in the restaurant was OK.

Guerrero Negro is like a Johnstown. If you're not familiar with the small steel city in Western Pennsylvania in which I was born, I would highly recommend you visit it before going to Mexico, and then imagine all of the people speaking Spanish.
Now that you have some context, continue on to Guerrero Negro. Stop at this RV park. Pay about $10 U.S. (as of 2016 17/1 exchange rates, and for a campervan, RVs are more, tents are less).
Then get a freezing cold shower and pay extra for food in the restaurant which isn't nearly as good as the taco trucks down the street.
The WiFi is, as we say in Spanish, mucho de la crappyo. But there's good TelCel service. So bring your own.
Better yet, head to Laguna Ojo de Liebre about 20 miles out of town. You'll lose service, but gain life points like a turkey vulture swallows a roadkill burro.
Did I mention, enjoy!?

Just stayed for 1 night because it was getting dark and I did not want to drive at night and die hitting a sleeping cow or pot hole. It would not have been that bad if it were not for the whole place being full with a caravan of "adventurers" and their big RV's and adventure itineraries. They were all there of course to go see the whales in Ojo de Liebre. So I was stuck in the corner about 5 feet from the bathrooms and showers. The showers were hot though at least. The restaurant is supposed to be one of the best in town, it wasn't bad however you can get incredible street tacos if you walk down the street. Telcel reception was good, had LTE. Wifi is awful, it does not work outside of the restaurant and even sitting at the bar it barely worked. Like Mr. Wandrly said, go camp out at Ojo De Liebre. Just stop in Guerroro Negro for groceries and tacos on your way.

I think everyone else summed things up well. We stayed here because of the lack of service at the Laguna and we had to work. The LTE is fast, the wifi is slow and intermittent. The margaritas are some of the worst I've had, and the restaurant is nothing to venture out for. If you're hungry, hit the taco truck down the street painted like a gray whale and order the camarones. It _may_ be the best spot in town, but that's not saying much.

We'd read about this park and a few others in the area and decided that this would be the most convenient for us. It is centrally located in the town, offers full hookup (mostly), and WiFi. They accept payment for only one night at a time, but they do take credit cards which is rare here.
It is a parking lot with spaces behind and at the side of a building that houses a restaurant. We had to try a couple of electrical outlets before finding one that worked properly, not unusual for this area. Once we set up camp, all worked fine.
It's what I consider an average "urban" park, spacing is tight but not the worst we've experienced and there is nothing pretty about the place. There are toilets and showers but we had no need for them and didn't use them.
There are many services close by - laundry, grocery stores, fruit and vegetable stands, bakeries, ATM, purified water fills and more. And don't miss the best tacos in all of Baja - the Tacos del Muelle taco truck which has a gray whale painted on the side. Delicious!
We had two dinners and two breakfasts at the restaurant. The ambience at the restaurant is much more elegant than the standard Baja restaurant. It's apparent that it has been there awhile (since 1974). The food was very good, including some excellent fish, shellfish, and huevos rancheros. Servers are reserved and service can be a bit slow.
We also used their tour service to go see the whales. While very convenient with the bus picking up in the same parking lot, the guide was just okay. The boat captain was very skilled though and we saw many whales close-up and even touched one!

We stayed at Malarrimo RV Park for four nights and we enjoyed our stay. It's a secure park with full hook-ups, clean working bathrooms, and showers with decent pressure. Some days we showered with lukewarm water. We also had wifi but it was pretty slow. Only sufficient for checking emails and social media. These would be our two suggestions for improvement: a larger hot water tank for the showers and better internet connectivity. We also did notice the sewer smell when there were lots of people camped. They get a lot of organized Caravans with big rigs.
Otherwise, we enjoyed the nice Gazebo, the great prices, and the location close to everything in town. They also organize whale tours with bilingual guides.

We stayed here one night passing through to get down south more. The other reviews were a while ago but I thought this place was very cute and I felt very safe. The spots for the RVs are behind the restaurant there are bathrooms and hot water. The Wi-Fi is very weak, we couldn’t get it in our van but we just walked into this cute little courtyard they have behind the restaurant and it worked there just fine. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but our friend said it was good and good prices. The courtyard in the back was very cute and nice to work in. It was $15 for hook ups and water, WiFi and shower. I would recommend.

We stopped for the night as we drove through Guerrero Negro and will absolutely stop on our way back up heading home. The place is simple, so if you desire fancy move along! The restaurant has amazing food and the staff are so friendly, we had some excellent conversations. The margaritas are just right and the shots of tequila are on point! They have FHU sites right behind the restaurant. We don’t speak Spanish, but a couple of the staff spoke English and helped us along. The sea bass and flounder were on the menu today and it was the best we’ve ever had!!

I stayed here last week whilst heading south and to catch a whale tour which was $50. Easy level spot but not too big. My rig is 21’ plus the truck and barely fit in the spot. 110 outlet was safe and the toilets flush. Hot shower was key after a week on the beach. The restaurant is very good and good taco stand next door.
