Stayed here even though there were several areas within 15 miles that offered free camping on the beach. Very friendly atmosphere with guests and staff, facilities were clean and homey. Bird sanctuaries within walking distance and the beach is about 3/4 mile away for a walk on a nice day. The bottom fell out of the weather and so we are abandoning Texas and headed back east towards warmth and out of the freezing temps.

Camp hosts very friendly and helpful, site was amazing for views of the canyon's red rocks. Bike trail (paved) runs right past campground and goes all the way to Bryce Canyon. Their are also numerous hiking trails nearby with one originating (or ending) in the campground. Vault toilets and flushing toilets as well as showers and a dump station. Showers closed due to COVID. You do get some road noise as you are right off of Route 12 but it is not bad.

Got here about 3 PM and had no trouble finding a site. Sites 7-21 were first come/first served and we had several sites to choose from. Publications say 25 ft. Maximum but I have a 24ft unit towing a 10 ft cargo trailer and had no problem backing into a site. There was a 32 ft unit with a toad that had plenty of room. Clean sites, restrooms and the quiet makes this a campground to stay at.
