This is a very nice campground with sites generously spaced and LOTS of shade. Power was strong and consistent for we had to use our heat pumps on the chilly mid October nights. We had a deluxe pull thru (#53) and I think it was the best site in the park; roomy, level, quiet with a nice fire ring. Bath houses seemed to be clean, though we didn't need to use them much. Cute little camp store and activities for our kids. Fairly easy back and forth to everything Gettysburg you'd want to see. KOA's seem to be on the pricey side these days, but it's worth it for consistency and nice campgrounds like this.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and liked the proximity to Niagara Falls. Our full hook up, 50 amp pull through site was clean and rather large. The kids enjoyed the back pool that had tube water slides. Some sites had an odd configuration that two RVs would pull through opposite each other so their driver's sides were facing each other. I'm. It sure if I would like that. Also, mites in the back were close to the highway noise.
Back to my subject line, we enjoyed our stay but frustrated by the price. $97 was the base rate, then they charged me and extra $2 per child. We had 2 adults and 2 kids. That stuff burns me up! KOA is supposed to be a family friendly campground. Charging for kids doesn't seem that friendly to me.

I stayed here in a 40' motorhome in June. My site was in the purple group on their map, by the pool. They really pack them in here. The hookups are in strange places. Most everyone needed a septic extension unless yours is at the very back of your RV.
Next time I would pay up to get closer to the beach. Those sites seem to have more room. The bath house was adequate, but not as clean as I'd like it. The pool was fine, but our favorite was the beach. For as crowded as the campground was, their beach wasn't that crowded. Their power grid was truly up to par. With everyone running AC, etc. I always had good power.
If I returned, I would also consider Lakewood or Ocean Lakes.

Like most KOA campgrounds, Mt Pleasant KOA is very nice, clean and a friendly place to stay. Yes, you pay more at KOA. But I rationalize the premium as the price I’m willing to pay for cleanliness, amenities and consistently for my family.

Mohican is one of my favorite places to camp in central Ohio. Quiet, shaded and lots of things to do. Great hiking and mountain biking right from the campground. Loudonville’s shops and restaurants within biking range.
They have installed free WiFi in the park to help supplement the poor cell reception in the area.
Just know that the sewer hookups can be recessed up to 6” below ground level making it impossible to use the fancy Rhino adapter and elbow. A dump hose with no fitting on the end is the best way to go (at least at my site).

Stonewall State Park is not like most state park campgrounds, it's designed to be more resort-like. It's a wonderful place to visit. The sites are XXXL and very well maintained and they all back up to the lake. The campground is part of a complex that includes the lodge, cottages, an activity center, lake and marina, golf course and recreation options.
This is a very popular place and they take reservations up to a year in advance. Some of the more popular dates in summer get booked up quickly.
This is our second time here and we will try to come back more frequently.
