After reading the other reviews, I wondered if I was in the wrong place. Maybe just a fluke that my experience didn’t match others’.

Pros:
- There is 72 hour parking allowed (signs posted)
- Easily accessible and central to town.
- Convenient 2 lane dump station and a single lane fresh water station.
- Bonners Ferry is a very nice and clean town with friendly people.

Cons:
- Trains. LOTS and lots of trains. And, at all hours. Less than 100 yards from the parking area. I lost count of how many trains rolled through. Most of them blared their horns though some didn’t. Almost all of them were hauling lumber, so maybe it’s harvest time right now?

- Lots of car activity in the parking lot up until around 11pm. A pickup truck was trying to do donuts in the parking lot about 50 feet from the three of us (RVs) parked here. People stopping in at all hours to use the ports potties. One truck came by every 30 minutes, drove through the parking lot and then left.

There is a casino, which allows RV parking, 3 minutes from here which I understand has security that monitors the lot. Might be a better option.

Very easy to access, very clean, and free 👍

There is potable water, but it’s not at the dump station. It’s at the truck/RV diesel pumps just adjacent to the dump station.

It costs $4 to use dump station and fresh water. As another reviewer mentioned, bring your own hose. They had three water hoses. One didn’t have a threaded end. The other two hoses leaked.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

If you have propane tanks, or built in tank in your RV, they can fill them as well.

Excellent views all around. Clean and well maintained. Several parking spots dedicated to RVs and to trucks. Check a satellite view on your map app to get an idea of the layout.

Can hear highway but it’s not bad.

Arrived after dark. The dirt road is easy to miss if your map app doesn’t give sufficient warning for the turn off.

Washboard, single lane road coming in, but opens up to a nice space with plenty of room to turn around. Ours is 25 footer, but looks like even a big diesel pusher could maneuver in the area.

It’s nice and quiet at night. I heard a train, but no train horn. There were. few other campers, but plenty of space.

If for some reasons it’s full, there were plenty of roadside turn offs between this location and Sandpoint which could be used for an overnight.

Easy in, easy out. If you’re staying overnight and don’t like traffic noise, I recommend ear plugs or a noise maker. Otherwise it’s a good place to have a meal and rest or even stay overnight.

This dump station has been so helpful since we’ve been in the area. Very easily accessible for class A’s and even fifth wheels. Stations are clean. Can dump and flush as well as fill up your fresh water.

This truck stop is incredibly busy. Massive amount of semi trucks parked there. They have a huge dirt lot and it’s free, which is great.

But, there is hardly any room to park and the open spots we did see were very unlevel.

Very clean, well lit. They have a special area for RVs and trucks. There were a lot of RVs parked when we got there and we had to choose a spot outside of the truck parking (along with some other RVs). Occasional train horns.

Staff was very friendly. Great camping gear inside. Please show them your appreciation and make a purchase if you need something.

Very clean and well maintained park. Not a lot of shade in the park since most of the trees are still young.

Friendly and helpful staff. 2 washers and 4 dryers in laundry room. Lots of room in the park to walk, and some playground stuff for kids.

Great cell signal. Great Starlink as well.
