This park opened June of 2019 and still has the shiny newness, but the staff is experienced and very helpful.The pads are level, blacktopped, and well spaced. There is a concrete pad with a picnic table adjoining each parking pad. Amenities include a daily trash pickup at the RV, swimming pool, pickle ball court, volleyball court, children's playground, dog park, a modern clean laundromat with 10 washers and 9 dryers that can be paid in coins or a smart phone app, and a catch and release fishing pond. They advertise blazing fast WiFi and it is actually true even in the middle of the park with the park about 2/3 full. Streaming video was never a problem.

The friendliness of the staff passes on the the guests such that even in a time of fear of contagion, a circle gathers every evening (using social distancing) for conversation and (sometimes) song.

This is a new park and you can almost smell the paint drying. All the facilities are clean, shiny, and in good shape. I was there at a weekly rate and received two discounts, one for over 60 (or maybe 65) and one as a veteran. I was here because my truck had transmission trouble, but it was a good place to be stranded. The only criticism I might have is the staff is still learning how to deal with RVers they have inadequate late arrival policies and don't always listen to issues that happen on the road.

We had a level concrete pad in a wonderful location. The lots up on the hill looked a little close, but the water front lots were great. DO NOT follow the GPS, the resort will text you directions and you need to follow them. I passed 3 exits on I-840 and I-40 from not paying attention to their directions. I was using a RV GPS, but that route was not good for RVs. I will be back when in the area. No Verizon service but good Wifi so no problem with calls and streaming.

We stayed Jan 29th and have stayed here before and it seems like a friendly, secure place, but as of the first of the year there is no longer electricity available. There is potable water from a tap to fill tanks up near the check-in place, but we stayed on a rather cool night and wished we had brought the generator so we could have used trailer heat.

The campground is convenient with well maintained, level lots. It is pet friendly (except pit bulls) with lots of lush grass to play on. It is quite close to a well traveled and poorly maintained highway that is a major thoroughfare between Lafayette and New Orleans, but I will stay here again when we are in the area.

We just spent one night here, but the lakeside lot was beautiful. Everything was clean and well maintained. If you are coming in off of I-59 use Hwy 49 to S Lake Dr. we came in from the south and had several of narrow, twisty roads that Google said was several miles shorter, but not worth the effort.

It was a beautiful and well managed park. We stayed on the East Rim where the sites are a little close together, bu not at all like an RV park. There is ready accessibility to the visitor sites and trails. We had deer wandering through and around the parking area. Very quiet and convenient. It rained a good deal, but I was mostly looking for relief from the heat and I found it in spades, the highest temp we had was 81 F and the lows were in the low 70s the lots were well drained and had enough grass and gravel to be able to walk around off the roads with lilttle or no mud. We really enjoyed it and will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay here the staff was very friendly and caring. There are enough trees to feel private, but not isolated. There is a boat dock, a frisbee golf course and a good size dog park. Lots were level and made up of a sandy clay that drained water away very quickly. The dump station is a little primitive, but works fine.

A beautiful, quiet place to camp, 2 or 3 miles from a Kroger to resupply. The grounds are well maintained and we had a beautiful lot backing right onto Old Hickory Lake with Canadian geese , blue Herons, and ducks to keep ;you occupied. We will definitely be back. The only down issue is a really narrow but smooth road to get to the recreation area

There are six RV sites and five or six tent camping sites. All sites have water and trash cans. There are two clean, well-maintained vault toilets. The area is clean, but the tables are poorly maintained. It is two and one half miles of dirt road to get to the area which would be quiet and peaceful except it is a popular boat launch fishing spot so there is quite a bit of traffic. Since I was boondocking (except for water) I was hoping for some solar, but the RV spots are on the south side of the central road and in the trees.
Overall a nice place, but too remote and too busy.
