Don’t expect to get cell service here! There are actual gators in the lake in the middle of the campground. Nice visitor center just up the road and a short distance to a scenic drive loop where you can see A TON OF ALLIGATORS! perfect stay for one night in the middle of nowhere.

Stayed here for a night while we did the Disney Christmas After Hours event. We snagged a spot through Hipcamp. Had to complete paperwork to stay and the bathrooms were outdated. Neighbors were friendly, small dog park and easy pull-throughs (some back-ins). Twenty minutes to Magic Kingdom! No views but hey, it’s Orlando so what do you expect!

This is a gorgeous campground but if you have a trailer or RV do not choose site 82! It is way smaller than other sites and there are two trees that will block your rig from the hookups.

Had a last-minute stay here on our way to Topsail Hill Preserve. We pulled into Sopchoppy and found an awesome brewery (Civic Brewery) with a delish food truck. We called and left a message for the park manager to ask him about closing time. He said he closes the gates at 9pm. He came by and collected $20 from us when we arrived. It’s a beautiful spot with nice hookups. VERY pleased!

This is a wonderful option if you can’t quite camp inside the poconos area. The bathrooms could use some updating but overall this is a great park!

This is a decent park if you need easy access to the DMV area and perhaps if you’re a mountain biker. We are remote workers with a T-Mobile and Verizon setup and struggled to get any data at all. Campers here are not respectful of basic camping etiquette and there is a loud skate park within walking distance that brings heavier traffic. The showers are private and hot so that is definitely a perk but overall this is not a great camping experience. Loved checking in with the park manager who is a great guy. He made this place earn 3 stars over 2.
