This campground was very nice and well taken care of. There’s options for all types of campers, from full size RV’s to primitive tent campers. You can even tent camp right in the edge of the Shenandoah River! There are also a few cabins for rent with a beautiful overlook. The bathrooms were very clean. There were only 2 stalls and 3 showers, but I never had to wait to use the facilities. Each cite had a picnic table and fire pit.
One downside was there speed bumps can be very hard to see as they blend in and with a car you will bottom out. Not a good feeling! Also, forbid outside firewood and make you purchase their wood... the wood we got sucked! It wasn’t wet, but was impossible to keep burning! It was also very smoky when it was burning.

This campground was alright - But it had everything we needed. We arrived Friday night around 12:30am. There were signs saying quiet time started at 10pm, but I could not find anything about that online. The owner helped us find our site which was nice. My wife and I stayed here 3 night and really enjoyed our stay. Here are some pros and cons:
Pros:
Amazing location! 2 miles from Natural Bridges and 6 from Red River Gorge.
Had everything we needed - electrical, water, shower and bathroom.
Campsites were decent sized.
Everyone was super friendly!
Nice cabins that can be rented!
Anything from primitive to full hookup (minus sewer).

Cons:
Bathrooms were fairly nice and cleaned daily, but people didn’t appreciate them and often trashed the showerhouses with mud.
Not much for kids to do.
Pond was very overgrown with algae.
Close enough to the highway that you can hear trucks throughout the night.

This state park is a great combination of nature and modern amenities. As the previous post said, there is little to no water, and the access to power can be a very far run. On site 42 we were able to use a 50’ extension cord and still have plenty to spare. As previously stated as well, the sites are not very level so we spent a fairly significant amount of time leveling our pop-up camper before setting up. Each site includes a fairly secluded lot surrounded by trees, a fire pit, a picnic table, and 30A 220V / 15A 110V electrical hookup. If you want a nice time away without too much commotion, this is a great option. We did, however have an issue on Friday night with someone exploding sticks of dynamite when felt like very close to our site. This occurred twice and each time shaking our campsite. We had decided if it occurred a 3rd time, we would alert the authorities, but thankfully it didn’t happen again. Overall, we really enjoyed our short stay!
