Reservations were easy with a simple phone call. Although we arrived at 6:30 pm the manager said they live on site so that wasn’t a problem. Check in was super easy. The manager guided us to the site and helped us position for best access to the utilities. The site was gravel and was level side to side. The sites are close to each other with little cover but that doesn’t matter as this is likely to be just an overnight stop for most. One of the few campgrounds I have encountered with excellent free Wi-Fi. Antenna reception is good for NBC and PBS. Cell service is 2 bars LTE. They have a fire ring at each site. There is a bathhouse with laundry and showers which are clean. Everything is in walking distance. This campground is best for a visit to the National Quilt Museum.

Reservation was easy by phone. She just took my name and no other details. The office is open until 8 pm which is very convenient. Check in was easy with a polite manager. The park is really an overnight for almost everyone so the lack of cover or amenities is not a problem. There is a laundry, restroom and rec room. The site is level enough that I did not have to unhook. All sites can accommodate any length rig and are pull through. Antenna TV has 3 non-network channels. ATT has 4 bars LTE.

We arrived without a reservation in late October. The campground was officially “closed” but they were open to self check-in self contained (have your own bathroom and shower) RVs. Check in was easy at their kiosk. The sites were fairly level and drive through. There is ample room with a firepit and picnic table. Not much for tree cover. Antenna reception was good for all networks. AT&T had 3 bars 5G. The WIFI was excellent but that may have been a factor of how few people were staying there. It is located fairly centrally in Rapid City so close driving access to Sturgis, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, etc.

The reservation was easy by calling the number. The owner of 20 years answers and holds the spot without any payment. On arrival, a call got me the site number and he showed up an hour later for payment. He only accepts cash or check. Most of the camp is park models or long term residents. The sites are very tight and it is more of a parking spot than a camp. The site is paved but not quite level. We had full hookups and cable. Antenna gets one local channel and a bunch of useless channels. Cable gets over 20 channels including a few networks. No amenities that I noticed. AT&T had 4 bars of 5G. The camp wireless was free but slow (in spite of the owner claiming it was great). The camp is near New Haven but is mostly good as a stopover on I-95.

Even on a weekend in a popular snowbird time I found it easy to get a reservation using the nationwide KOA website. I extended it a night when I arrived having found it was far better than described by other Campendium reviewers. This is a lovely camp with excellent facilities and helpful office staff. Any criticism is likely from very large rigs as the roads seem better adapted to smaller rigs. Nonetheless, I saw rigs of all sizes including with additional trailers. Many, if not most, of the sites are pull through. Most sites are separated by trees or a fence. There is a fire pit, grill and picnic table at each site. There are full hookups available including cable (didn’t work for me but it may be a problem with my system). I was very happy with antenna reception that includes all the major networks. AT&T has 2 bars of 5G. The camp WiFi is fast enough and reception is good (my site is toward the back of the camp). There are lots of amenities including a jumping pillow and playground for kids, dog areas, clean restroom/showers, laundry and hiking trails that lead into the mountains. The camp is really in town but has a forest feel. It is close to everything in Flagstaff.

Reservations were easy by phone. They mixed up the date but corrected it with no hassle. The RV parks in the region are all just parking lots in the desert. This one is a little nicer but not high end. There is little cover or separation except that the park is not full. The sites are gravel/dirt. They are mostly level but I did need a leveler. Full hookups and pull through sites are available for all size rigs. The WiFi is better than average for a campground but still slow. ATT has 3 bars of 5G. Cable TV is available but we got most channels by antenna. The management is friendly and helpful. This is a good place to break up the drive across western Texas. I would recommend a visit to the Petroleum Museum. The map of the camp shows restrooms, showers, a workout room, laundry and dog wash.

Reservation was made by phone but a lot of information needed to be exchanged as well as a deposit. This park is next to Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun but they were closed for the season so access was easy. Check in was easy as most of the info was exchanged on the phone. This park is very nice with good spacing and concrete pad sites. The sites are very long and can accommodate any sized rig. The width was great so even back in sites were easy to access. The wireless strength is top notch. Antenna receives all major networks. AT&T has 4 bars of 5G. The facilities include restrooms, showers, laundry, a pool and hot tub. The park is a short drive to most Kansas City attractions.

This campground is a short drive to Mankato. It is a good spot if you are visiting Mankato since it is only about 17 miles away. The camp sites are on the Blue Earth County Fairgrounds so I suspect that it is not available during the fair. Otherwise, it is a nice grassy area with 30 A and 20 A at most sites and 50 A at some sites. I think any length rig should fit nicely. There is a good combination of sun and shade. My first site was #13 but it had reversed polarity on the 30 amp box so I changed to site #11. They were resistant about the change but accommodated me. The sites have a pretty level area on each site. I only had to make minimal adjustments. The sites are on grass (no paved sites). The fairgrounds have a nice walking loop and places where you can get down to the river. The river has good current so watch the kids. The only campsites I saw that were on the river were using generators so they must not have electrical down there. The other campers were polite and quiet but I saw a lot of cans on the ground the next morning (I hope they pick them up before they leave). There are no full hookup sites. The dump station is very awkward (see photos). It is free but I am worried that the set up will cause spills and accidents. Rules include no glass bottles and clothes are not optional. They have wifi but I used my AT&T cellphone as my signal. There is a driving loop so you can check out your site and drive around if you approach it wrong the first time. It is hard for very long rigs to change directions.

I tried to stay here. The reservation process requires that you fill out a form and wait to hear back. I waited until I had to make other arrangements. Then I called and they said they had no openings. They did not apologize for not contacting me. Then sometime later they sent an email saying they had a spot. Grrr!
