Western Star RV Ranch

This a very nice park on the less than hospitable Kansas plains. The wind always blows and trees and grass are at a premium, but the owners do their best with what the terrain gives them. The parks roads and sites are all gravel. The sites are long and level; we did not unhook our tow. The utilities are very convenient and hook up is easy.
The bathrooms are clean and very big. The laundry is also big and looked very nice, though we didn't use it.
The owner/manager works in town and returns to open the office around 4:00. She is very nice and pleasant to visit with. This park is truly a labor of love. When you arrive just pick a spot. One of the workkampers will spot you and give you any info you need e.g. bathroom code. You'll have to wait for the office to check in.
There is very pretty landscaping with grass and shrubs decorated in a plains/western theme. Also a lighted and paved walking loop with western decorations that are rather avant-garde. No, no trees yet, this is a work in progress.
We found the road off the highway to the park to be severely washboard.
I hope they have graded it by now.
The highway is near but as the town is well down the road, no jake-brakes.
The railroad crossing is also nearby, but I like trains...no problem.
The park is simple, but it is clean, safe, well lit, and well maintained.

The owner is very nice and accommodating. The park is very clean and well kept. Nothing fancy but all the utilities are top notch.

1st time in Missouri and somebody turned on the wind. All hookups are top notch. This is just a gravelled RV park, no trees. Quick checkin and picked a spot. Didn’t use showers. Don’t forget to go back into Liberal and see Dorthys house from the Wizard of Oz. Hope they do some row planting of trees.

Stayed one night. Easy in and out. Wide spaces. Kind of bitey type little ants in the grass tho which got the dogs feet but that could happen anywhere.

Loved it otherwise.

Nice RV park. Stayed 2 nights after having back to back 400 mile travel days. A little train noise and equipment noise from the area farms. 4.8 stars

Nancy is one of the kindest human I’ve ever come across! She runs this place well and it’s a very clean park. The bathrooms and showers at the park are well kept and great water flow. They have a hot tub, full hook ups, WiFi but no cable.
The only complaint I have is the trains...I’m a light sleeper and I couldn’t sleep through the trains. Also when I stayed I could tell there was a lot of on the road workers staying here so it was loud early. Other than the noise it’s a very nice park with very large pull throughs.

Reservation was easy by phone. She just took my name and no other details. The office is open until 8 pm which is very convenient. Check in was easy with a polite manager. The park is really an overnight for almost everyone so the lack of cover or amenities is not a problem. There is a laundry, restroom and rec room. The site is level enough that I did not have to unhook. All sites can accommodate any length rig and are pull through. Antenna TV has 3 non-network channels. ATT has 4 bars LTE.

Quick phone call..took my name. Site reserved…arrived and Nancy is the most kind campground host ever!!! They were very busy and overfull but she was very helpful to make everyone fit in helped out with extra 50 amp cords to make some reach…she felt bad that she had to turn people away but it was packed right full. Will definitely stay here again!!, bathrooms showers clean and tidy…sites level…great overnight stop!,

This is the best campground off of 54 in Kansas! We like it so much we never stay any where else around Liberal Kansas! If you're ever driving for hours like us stopping somewhere with a cheap full hookup rv site is a gift sent from God himself! Come check out this rv ranch situated on Road 7 in Liberal Kansas if you're ever on the 54 in Kansas! This is a great campground to pull in late at night, and pull back out early in the morning if you're on a super crazy long road trip!

Will be a convenient place to stop for an overnight once construction ends.
