Our site: Spacing was typical. Our site was open but close to the nature trail, site surface was gravel with a concrete patio and built in fireplace, Patio furniture was also supplied.

Communications: WiFi was 5g and excellent, Cellular Verizon 4 bars, Many over the air digital channels available with acceptable signal

Amenities used: laundry

Notes: We stayed for a three day pause in our travels while waiting out foul weather to our north. Grocery and many other stores within 3 or 4 miles.

When I say lazy, it's meant in a good way. The park is very quiet and offers little for amenities. Not far from i95 and a small village for shopping. There are several parks and plantations in the area to explore.

Our site: Spacing, Sun/Trees, Surface, Features (table, fire) Our site had sand except for the parking space which was paved. Pavement is broken up but level. Roadways are paved and good. Stone paver for patio that was very unlevel. We were supposed to have cable TV however none existed at our site.

Communications: No WiFi at campground, Verizon Cellular 1-2 bars

Notes: Monday morning we were treated to a pair of very loud leaf blowers running through every site. Windows and doors had to be closed for about 30 minutes because of the resulting dust. Campground is clean and secure. Sites are laid out so the awning faces the afternoon sun. Great for an overnight or if you’re looking for a long term stay in a campground that is inexpensive and lacking activity or planning on day trips elsewhere. We were also happy to know that’s it’s the kind of campground where you could sleep with open doors.

Campground seems to be divided into two subsections, long and short term. Short term side is hard packed gravel. We were on the east end of a loop and enjoyed watching a large herd of deer in the field beyond the camp. Campground was very quiet during our stay which incorporated Labor Day weekend.

Admittedly the cluttered front entrance nearly scared us off when we arrived, however, this campground worked out perfectly for our Harpers Ferry sightseeing week. The water tasted very good, although pressure seemed to come and go. The area was in a drought and we noted that many drivers had difficulty figuring out where to park due to the color of the grasses. All in, this was a great value and we’d most certainly visit again!

Site: Full Sun/No Trees, Stone and grass Surface, No Features (table, fire), 50 amp WSE, No cable TV although numerous OTA channels, Our site was almost perfectly level once we backed up to the rear of the rather deep site.

Pets: pet friendly, no specific dog area, no outdoor enclosures
Amenities: none, this is a no frills campsite
Note: Camp is located close to Route 9 which during the day is a busy four lane highway. Traffic drops off considerably during the night.

This was a one night stay while passing through. The campground was largely vacant and we were place on a site that allowed us to see the lake. Ordered pizza from the local delivery and explored the campground a bit. Campsite spacing above average on our site, Site was shaded and mostly sand.

Update on January 28, 2023 We stayed three nights while headed south. Weather was into the 50's and we had a good time. Campground gets busy near the end of the day with pass through travelers. This is only 2 minutes from route 95 making it an ideal stop over. Also plenty of sites used for the weekend! This camp is typical of an KOA, clean and well maintained. The jump in price from last year was substantial, $57 to $75 and we'll be looking for a less expensive option for next year. $75 is pretty steep when the pool, beach, etc. are available for use. That said, where else can you play yard chess?

Notes: Roads are paved and smooth, our awning faced northeast allowing morning sun and blocking afternoon sun, our site had an electrical transformer on it which allowed the site to be quite large, cable television system was good with typical variety of sources, Walmart Supercenter approximately 1 mile on Route 301. RV washing is not allowed, but a mobile service is allowed. We used TnT Pressure Cleaning and would not do so again (he uses bleach to clean and does not brush).

Water system is locked out at 36 degrees. Cable advertised but doesn’t work on our site. Digital signal allows for a half dozen channels that break up. Overnight site while traveling so it was fine for us. It appears there are many fair weather amenities. Our site was “premium” and less than fifty yards from a busy highway.

Our site: Spacing is very tight throughout the campground. Even when adjusting our slide to pass by the pedestal, our awning is no more than 3’ from our neighbors slide. Our site is open and all crushed stone, however the campground has a nice mix of sun/shade and ground covers. We did have a fire pit (although no room to use it) and did not have a table.

Notes: campground is bordered on two sides by residential roads, early morning traffic during the week. Grocery is convenient. Antenna was used for television and reception was good. This is an old campground that is being upgraded and updated. Campground is very clean and staff are seen daily tending to sites and facilities. Electrical system appears new.

Passing through and this was an overnight stay. Campground was attractive but we didn't explore.
