We stayed two different nights in the course of the week. First night in site 5 wasn’t great. Site was very close to the office and not super private. Plus it rained very hard and our site was a pond. It was a LOT of rain!
Second stay was an impromptu return for better weather and kayaking on the Weeki Watchi. Site 8 was nice, lots of shade. The water faucet sprays terribly and it’s impossible to stay dry when trying to deal with your hook ups.
Sites are kind of close so you’re not getting loads of seclusion, but it’s homey and real “old Florida”. The dock is great for fishing and there’s a kayak launch on site. There’s a small camp store that has the basics.

We had a great time here. Huge site with lots of privacy. Fire ring and picnic is on the same side as the hook up, so we couldn’t really use our awning and our camper opened to the road.
We loved the animals. Clean bathroom is always a bonus. We rode our bikes to the spring, there’s no bike path so you have to be extra careful, but the road isn’t busy.
One small negative that is probably a one off…we requested a box of kindling from the man (employee) who delivered our firewood; when he dropped it he told us it was $12. We gave him the money but were stunned at the cost of a very meager box of bark and wood chips. Next day we went to the office to get more only to learn from the owners it was FREE!!! We felt really taken advantage of. I didn’t say anything because I wouldn’t want someone to lose their job over $12. But if you go, get your stuff directly from the office.

This camp feels really out there! We liked it a lot, decent mobile signal, good bathhouse and very quiet.

We camped here in a small rv and the space was very large and level. Not super private but other sites are not intrusive.

After camping at East Fork and Stevens Creek we were spoiled by beautiful views. Even at Morefield we had privacy although not scenic.
Site was level and there is a covered picnic table as well as a grill and a fire ring, but they were useless during the fire ban.
Campers are not provided any privacy at the sites.

My favorite thing about this park is the proximity to the springs. We rode our bikes from site 16 but could walk it in 10 minutes. Bathrooms were close and clean, and the grounds were exceptionally beautiful. We had plenty of deer visitors which was lovely.
Only downside is lack of easy access to firewood. What they sell at the ranger station burns in under an hour making cooking and nightly fires a challenge. We had to make 3 trips on bikes to get more bundles.

We loved this campsite... heavily wooded so lots of shade, and the river rushing was very peaceful. The site was huge and very clean. Trash, water and toilets were close. Only drawback is the water is from a hand pump and it not very easy for one person to use.

Good flat, clean sites but no privacy and a lot of road noise. This is a good place to stop for a rest but not if you’re looking for a more scenic experience. Great mobile service too.
