Beautiful park right next to the Snake River. The huge trees were beautiful and provided shade for almost our entire spot. Lots of trails to explore, and a quick walk to the river. Bathrooms were not very clean near the day use area. Other than that, this was a great spot for out one night.

Great, convenient RV park for staying at while visiting the theme park. The walk under the freeway was very convenient and made returning to the RV throughout the day easy and quick. Grounds were nice, although shade and privacy are almost none existent. Since we stayed here for the sole reason of going to the theme park, we didn’t mind the lack of either. There was a small playground which was nice for the kids when we weren’t riding rides or swimming in the theme park. Downside is the bathrooms/showers (one building for the whole park) we’re not clean at all. I imagine with all the people coming and going, the bathrooms need attention on every-other-hour basis, and it appeared they were maybe cleaned once a day. I was very happy we had our RV for showers/bathroom because I did not want to go in their facility.

This campground was awesome. The spots are huge, and the kids loved being able to run around in the trees without having to worry about bothering neighbors. Very shaded and private. We were on the upper loop, so the walk to the water was a bit of a trek, but the beach area was amazing, and the lake was clean and clear, and warmer than I anticipated (June). Mosquitos weren’t bad, which was a nice surprise. The only bad thing was the host sites (there were 2 in our loop). One in particular looked like a dump. There was crap everywhere and looked like the people had been living there for years (piles of bicycles covered in debris, trash, tarps everywhere…) We never actually saw a host, even though there were cars parked at both sites. Luckily we weren’t camped next door, but it was definitely surprising because the hosts usually have the nicest spots with little touches of home like flower baskets and such. This place had little touches of a dump. Other than that, this campground was great and we will return!

Absolutely beautiful state park. Sites were large and well spaced out, although not the most private. The trails were endless, the Brig museum was really cool, and the swim spot was awesome. And the best perk, almost no mosquitos! We will absolutely come here again.

Beware of mosquitos!! (Mid June is when we visited)

Was not super impressed with this state park campground. Sites were close together and not private. I think we could see at least 5 other picnic tables/fire rings from where we sat. The positive was there were a couple of folks playing guitars at their sites, which added a nice ambiance.

Very close access to the lake, but the dock felt like it was about to collapse into the water and the mosquitos were relentless. Would not swim at the water access, as it was weedy and looked prime for leeches.

Positive is it was about a mile bike ride to access to the Trail of the CDA, which was a fun ride for the afternoon.

Overall would probably not return here, mostly due to the mosquitos, and poor beach area.

Nice little campground near Flathead Lake. A bit noisy as it’s close to the highway. Sites were private and clean. Clean vault toilets. Short walk to a very small beach area in the lake. No hookups, and no dump in the campground, closest one was at the other state park about 20 minutes away. Friendly camp hosts.

Beautiful little campground off Hwy 93 on the Montana side of the pass. The hosts were so sweet and gave our kids goodies packets with activity books and such. Clean bathrooms. A nice quiet spot to camp. No hookups.

Wonderful place to stop on our way to Flathead Lake from Craters. The family was so nice, and I didn’t realize the park had an amazing BBQ restaurant until I walked in to check in. The Philly Cheesesteak was the best I’ve had in a long while. Restrooms were very clean and spacious; the grounds had various yard games to play near a shared fire pit. Overall a great place to stop. It is right next to a main highway and the trucks going by are pretty loud, but that wouldn’t deter me from coming back. Highly recommend!

Meh is how I would describe this place. While they had ample amenities, it was as if they had too many and couldn’t quite maintain all of them properly. The pool was large and looked clean. However I wouldn’t return for 2 major reasons: there were stickers and burrs coating the ground literally anywhere I looked, and the bathrooms were either out of service or extremely dirty. Our Rv site was also very tight and oriented in a way that made getting the sewer hose to drain almost impossible. Dump station was also out of service while we were there. Kids did enjoy the farm animals they have on site, which seemed well cared for.

Awesome, beautiful place to stay. It’s tucked back in the trees and is very quiet. Grounds are beautiful and each site is very private. The owners are great people. We enjoyed using their shuttle service to drive into Carmel and explore for the day. The road getting in is narrow, but very easy to drive in our 32’ ACE. We would definitely stay here again.
