Large truck stop with ample options for getting gasoline. Then go straight back thru the barriers toward the trucks. Turn right and pick your spot along the grass on the west side. Leave room for trucks before and aft. Extend your slideouts on the port side (I wouldn’t do any on the starboard because of truck traffic). Dog walking along the grass. Diner is excellent food, low prices. Smoke shop. Truckers’ showers. Very basic grocery items. Most of the trucks turn engines off so fairly quiet overnight. Gas was 30 cents cheaper than off the Seneca reservation. Take route 5 going west along the lake— beautiful trip. Wifi.

The rv section of the parking lot has water/electric hookups for $30. Dump station right there. Register at the hotel reservation desk. Breakfast at the Sticks pub was good food — $26 for two, one was steak and eggs. Casino was mostly machines, bingo parlor in a separate room. Not too smoky— designated areas keep it to a minimum. Speedway gas stop right next door. Note: dry camping ( we assume it was free) in the main parking lot.

I’m not sure about the other review. I have no idea where they stayed, but I’m in the “village” and it’s friendly, good sized lots, trees, concrete pad. I asked for a picnic table and one was delivered. My neighbors are 25’ in one direction and more than 30’ in the other. This is a snowbird park, so mostly over 65ers. Events planned for nearly every day. Group meals, golf cart parade, RC boat races, crafts, bingo, etc. My rent is $380 a month, plus electric. Town of Rockport has everything you need… Walmart, HEB, ACE hardware, Walgreens, etc.etc.etc. Heated pool, pickle ball, walking paths. BBQ right across the highway. Friendly… I even found someone to cat sit when I was out of town. Great weather!

This is a shared post layout, so there isn’t enough room between the slideouts to dump tanks without waking up the neighbors. Take a back-in slot at the back fence — no one parks there! Convenient, but a whole mile from I-40, so noise isn’t an issue except the airport take offs and landings are right overhead. Dog park, paved roads, nice gift shop. On Route 66. Good wifi, 69 TV channels. If you only need a day or two, this is a good choice.

This is a tiny park of mostly seasonal units. There were two choices for our rig, both pull-through. 30 amp with water and sewer on site. Very manicured, prepare to walk dogs in the field across the way. Tight quarters. The roads to East Port Bay are very tiring... narrow, no shoulders, up and down big hills. No view of the lake, glimpses of the bay through trees. Breed restrictions for dogs, but they welcomed our three mutts.

Be cautious when reserving. Look at the photos of each site and also the length of rig. We chose this one because it said 50’. It actually should read 30’ because of the severe downhill grade. Some sites don’t have water hookups, although all have electric. With a boat launch at each end and a marina on the east side, there are boats zipping by from before sun up. Lots of wildlife: geese, herons, bald eagles, and a squirrel. Clean showers, good water pressure, manicured woods. Lots of trees for shade. Paved sites, concrete table and pad, fish tables, fire grill. Golden senior pass makes it $10 a night. We’ll be back!

The campground is on the access road, directly next to the interstate. Noisy in the parking lot, but much quieter when tucked under the trees. Wide drive-thru sites, good electric and water. West of Springfield. Nice walking trails around the pond. Very wooded. Sites are wide and flat. Friendly owner. Great place to walk the dogs and relax. There's even a swimming pool!

The bathroom in the RV loop is disgusting. Dirty walls and doors, toilet rocking off the floor, holes in the shower walls, yellowed tiles. Yuck! Reading some other reviews, no one has addressed these issues in over TWO YEARS! A lot of nerve charging $40 a night when taking a shower (with no doors on the stalls) makes me decide to stay dirty.

Then let’s talk about the roadways. Giant potholes!

Will try a private campground the next time…

Stayed one Saturday night to meet up with friends. Lots of local folk come out just for the weekend. Very roomy sites - we were camped under the trees, our friends out in the open grass. Sites seem to be well maintained, but electric is showing its age - definitely check with your meter before plugging in (30amp, BTW). Site had a fire ring, lantern hook, picnic table, good gravel surface. Beautiful bath house, but standing water in every stall. No way for water to escape with block walls on three sides. No drainage except by the sinks. Really poor design. So, if you HAVE to use the shower/bathroom facilities, wear your boots.

First, the noise: it’s noisy during morning rush hour, but quiet the rest of the day. Second: this is a tidy, clean, quiet, accessible park. BIG field through the gate to walk dogs and chase rabbits. Beautiful landscaping. Double wide drivethrough sites. Level. Good water. Good electric (recently updated). Very clean laundry 6 wash/4 dry, cheap. Uses charge cards instead of quarters. Clothesline! Hang your sheets in AZ sunshine. 😁 accepts Good Sam,Escapees, and Travel America discounts. Four nights, including tax, was $126. Full hookups, great free wifi. Two minutes from i-10, excellent access along the frontage road to all kinds of shopping. Dog park less than a mile away (Prince to Flowing Wells to Kleindale). Phone service: we have Consumer Cel and it was always at least 3 bars of 4G. Yes, we will be back.
