The RV park is located just south of Fort Bragg right on the cliff bluffs. Really basic sites right next to each other. No fire pits or picnic tables just an open patch of grass. The bathrooms and showers are pretty old and tight. It’s nice that the coastal trail was literally right outside our door. Site 42 was good to have a view. No neighbor on your right side.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we were passing thru. Nice enough place. There was good cell reception, and wifi available at casino, a place to dump and fill up water for free, and a safe secure place to leave your rig. The RV parking is in the far back lot which was pretty quiet except for trucks making shipments to the gas station. You will need to get a players card then sign in with the front desk, but it is quick. Not the closest spot to the redwoods, thats why we bounced a little south to Bear River Casino to explore the Humbolt Redwood State Park, ok spot too.

This was a nice spot to stay in the Apalachicola Forest. It is a pretty small campground with around 6 sites depending on how people park. For the most part it is pretty quite, specially during the weekdays. Weekends can get busy with big groups of locals, but they were all quite enough.

There are 5 fire pits and 5 picnic tables, but like i said depending on how people park there can be more campsites made. There is clean drinking water available from a spigot at the entrance, and there are vaulted toilets that they clean once a week, normally Monday.

There is a lot to do within a hour drive from this place. There is a boat ramp for the Ochlockonee River right in the campground, which can get a decent amount of traffic on the weekends. We did a lot of kayaking and SUPing in the rivers in the area. Some people will say its to dangerous due to the alligators, but after paddling over 30 miles of alligator infested water we only saw one on the Wakulla River and it wanted nothing to due with us. There are many State Parks to visit in the area. Most of them charge a $6 entrance fee. I would suggest the Wakulla Springs, where you can see alligators, manatees, fish, birds, and swim in crystal clear fresh water out of the worlds 4th largest spring.

There are some locals that live in the Apalachicola National Forest that bounce from campground to campground. Since we were here so long I got to know a few. You could say they are some "interesting characters," but all seemed harmless enough. This area was safe and secure. No one messed with any of our stuff when we were out exploring. The cell reception was ok and our hot spot wasn't great but we normally got 2 to 3 bars 4G.

If you plan on staying here i suggest stocking up before you come, there is a small local store about 20 minutes away, but its expensive and poorly stocked. The nearest real town is Crawfordville and it takes about 40 minutes to get there.

As far as rest stops go, they don't get much nicer than this one. It is a big, clean area with a walking trail around it. Nice bathrooms and visitor center. Plenty of parking. I suggest further down the line to get away from the big rigs. Good cell service. Unfortunately there was no spot to dump or fill our tanks otherwise this would have been the golden rest stop.

There was nothing special about this area. You can park on 3rd St and the surrounding area without being bothered by anyone. This area is right next to a Walmart and Mall, so it was really busy during the day. At night it was pretty quiet, a few people moving around, a lot of other rigs.

There is not a lot of good parking for solar right on 3rd St., but if you search around a few blocks there is a big industrial area with plenty of parking that is quieter. There is grass around to walk the dogs and trash cans. Cell and internet were great. We didn't have any problems with theft or sketchy people, but I wouldn't leave expensive bikes out at night.

Anything you need is right there at the Walmart or Mall, and Vancouver is a short bike ride across the bridge. There are also plenty of things to go see and do within a close area. We really enjoyed our time in Vancouver even though our "camp site" was less then great.

This was a great casino to stay at for the night and check out Sequim. Its your basic casino, large parking lot. At the far end of the lot there are 3, 30 amp plugins that are available on a first come basis. It was fairly quiet in the back of the lot even though the casino was bumping the night we were there. No one bothered us to check in or anything like that. There are also good areas to walk dogs if you have pets.

Cell and internet were good. All in all, a nice place to chill and recharge your batteries. Even 3 friendly roosters to wake you up in the morning.

This campground is a large field area with a municipal building in the center of it. Access if fairly easy with only a mile or two of easy to drive washboarded road.

The campground is fairly open, but there are trees to find shade under. It has none potable water spigots and porta potties. Haven't seen a trash bin. It is $10 dollars a night on the honor system where you pay at the entrance sign. Even though there is a municipal building right here with lots of workers and rangers no one has come over to check on us.

This area gets busy on the weekend with people camping and horseback riding. They have water bins for horses and even stalls for $10 a day each. The Belle Meade horse trail is a 22 mile stretch and seems popular. Not a bunch to do right here, you can hike, bike, or fish the canals. None of which is spectacular.

Campground is off the beaten path so to speak and there is no close gas station or store for about a 20 minute drive. Totally empty on Monday except for the municipal building and their occasional loud speaker. A nice clean campground overall.

This area is 30 miles to the nearest overpriced gas station, so stock up with what you need before you come here. It is pretty easy access down a short 1/4 mile dirt road. There were some large rocks that were easy enough to avoid. This short road leads to a turn around area that circles a large fire pit in the middle. This is really a one RV type of spot. You could fit 3 rigs in here if you had to, but you would all have to know each other to make the parking work.

This spot was very quiet. We only saw a occasional car driving on Black Canyon Road which was a couple hundred yards away. It rained pretty hard while we where here and I worried that we might get stuck, or the road might wash out, but it was fine after the rain dried up.

There are cattle trails you can hike for miles that run right thru the camp area, or its a 4 1/2 mile drive North on Black Canyon Road to Hole in the Wall visitor center and campground. There are 4 different hikes that start at the visitor center. The campground is a nice, clean establishment for $12 a night and is a good back up campground if the North Black Canyon Road spot is already taken. There is also a free dump and fill area there. Mitchell Caverns is a 10 mile drive from here if you like caves. It is $10 per car to park then $10 per person for the tour, it seemed a bit steep for what the Providence Mountains State Recreation Area had to offer. If you do want to do the tour you have to make reservations on Monday for a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday tour.

Cell and internet service was surprisingly good out here. Overall a nice quiet spot to chill in the Mojave Desert for a few days with lots of plant and animal life and some cool stuff to explore close by.

Not much to do out here but off-roading. Week days are quiet and peaceful and weekends are loud and dusty. If your not off-roading there isn’t much to do here. Scout first before you drive your rig in here. Some of the sand roads get pretty bad and you can easily get stuck.

This was a great camping area right up against the dunes. The road in was fine, a little wash boarded for the last mile. The campsites are pretty much anywhere you can stick you rig that's not blocking a road. The coordinates take you to the largest open area by some trees where you should be able to turn around and would be prime area in the shade when its hot. This is a pretty big area and would have to be really busy to not find a spot. There are no amenities here, but a mile down the road at the Kelso Dunes trailhead there is a vault toilet and trash cans. There is nothing around here for at least 30 miles so bring what you need.

We really liked this spot, we walked from our rig into the dunes with the dog and hiked barefoot thru the sand for miles. The only bad thing about this spot is little cell/internet service, AT&T didn't exist, and Verizon was hard to work with, even with boosting it. We did manage to do some Netflix at night.
