The sites are right off the road so they are not very private, but easy to access. They are next to the creek which is nice and there was not a lot of traffic. There was a lot of trash including a diaper and a pillow, which we cleaned up before we left.

This is an easy area to get to and the view is beautiful. There is a lot of traffic going by but the dust doesn't travel up to the sites. There is no cell service even though the campendium overlay says there is.

We like camping off of Deadman on some of the off shoot roads because it's not as noisy and busy as Manhattan. There are a lot of sites for various types and sizes of RVs. If you have a high clearance or 4wd vehicle and camper, there are more sites available. We camp in an 18 ft. off road trailer towed by a Jeep.

Great location

We arrived on a Friday evening in June. All of the spots except the handicapped were taken. The designated ones by the lake were super close together and not very level. There are 3 more at the east end of the lake that are marked off by logs and chains. They were all full of weeds. We traveled around to the north side of the lake and found a spot with a picnic bench and a fire pit. We just guessed it was a spot and took it. It was level so that was nice. It was also very private. TONS of mosquitoes!!!! In a pinch it's okay for an overnight spot since there is nothing else dispersed in the area. The state park very close by was super nice and had many empty spots.

Great opportunity to camp last minute!

Great way to find a last minute spot! I would have rated it a 5 but the showers are disgusting. The floor is always dirty and the curtains are VERY moldy!

You need to come in from north of the station and pull around outside of gas pumps to get to dump. It's never crowded when we go on Sunday afternoons. It is free to dump with propane or gas purchase.
