Glad this RV park was in this area as there are no other campgrounds in the area. This place is very clean and well kept. We had a site right next to Big Creek and near the facilities. The manager is very nice and had great customer service. Wifi was ok for us, it was a little slow.

If you just need a place to stay for the night and don't care about scenery, this place is for you! There's not much to brag about this place unfortunately. Campground is right off the main road from Elizabeth, CO. There's not much recreational activities in the area. There is a state park within the vicinity and the town of Castle Rock about 17 mi away. Maybe we are just spoiled with other camping in Colorado, but this place is pretty blah.

This was our first campsite with our new camper. We were a bit nervous with backing into the site as we had never done it before. Luckily the site was angled, so it made it a little easier to back in. The site is a gravel pad and was just slightly unlevel. We had a picnic table and fire ring. The area is surrounded by grass and about 10 feet from neighboring campsites. We were very close to the lake and just next to a inlet of water. We had full hookups, which was very convenient as it was our first night camping with the camper. A huge thanks to our friendly neighbors who helped us out with answering our various camper related questions! We had great cell phone and LTE reception. For an extra cost, WiFi is available at this campground.

We actually did tent camping on this trip and we REALLY wished we had our camper!! It was super hot!! No trees, no shade, except from the picnic table covering. We had to spend the afternoon in the visitor center since it was unbearable to be outside. We daydreamed that we were inside our camper with AC. We had nice views of the Badlands, but they were a bit far away. The other really horrible part of our stay was after dusk, the mosquitoes were relentless!!! I was about to have a panic attack because they were biting me like crazy! Even the restroom had swarms of mosquitoes. It is also humid here so after taking a shower it felt like I didn’t even take one at all. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst tent camping experiences we’ve had! Maybe winter time is better...

We wished we could stay here longer! We were here mid week, so it was really quiet and peaceful. There was only 1 other camper in our loop. There are a lot of areas to explore and amenities like a swimming pool. We didn't know how big the Wabash River was! Lots of trails around this state park.

Not too bad of a campground. You're pretty close to your neighbors which we didn't like. The lake is in walking distance, which is very small compared other state park reservoirs. There is a small swim beach and a place to rent kayaks and boats. There are hiking trails around the area. One really neat thing was that you're pretty close to "Monument Rocks" (aka. Chalk Pyramids). We highly recommend visiting that place. It is free and a really neat area. A bit odd that this place exists amongst the flat plains of Kansas.

Unfortunately, when we got to our site, it was pouring rain and made it more difficult to setup. We had a pull-through site, which made it easier to park. This campground offers both back-in and pull-through sites. Since it was raining, the ground was muddy and had a little bit of flooding. We definitely had to use our levelers as our site sloped down towards the lake. We only had electric hook ups, but water was nearby to fill our tanks. Sites have a picnic table and fire pit. Other campsites are in very close proximity, but we were lucky that it was not very busy and only had neighbors on one side. This site costs $23/night and we did have LTE reception. As the campground is by a lake, there are many recreational activities. We were about 10 yards from the water and surrounded by a dense forest of trees.

Campsites at Rocky Cove are super nice!  They are clean, very wide, level and have a concrete surface.  We have views of the lake and are surrounded by trees.  The sites are back-in, but having the extra wide surface makes it easy to back in. If facing into the site, electric hook up is in the right far back and water is in the middle right side. We wanted to camp on the lake side of the road, but those sites only have electric, no water hook ups, so we opted for the other side. There is no sewer hook up at the site, but dump stations are by the entrance of the park. The site also has a fire pit and picnic table.

This campsite had the best mountain views! You do need to be on the upper part of this campground to get 360 views. If you're on the north or west side of the campground, you won't get great views. We couldn't help looking out the windows or just sitting on top of our camper to enjoy the vast views of the mountains. The camping pad is a little shorter than other sites. We did not have a problem since our camper is 20' long. We noticed other campers were a bit tight in their site, plus with their tow vehicle. There are restrooms and free showers in walking distance. The showers only stay on for about a minute, so you have to keep pushing the button if you want it to stay on more continuously. There is a boat ramp just on the north side of the campground when you first enter the area. You do need an area permit for this campground and many other recreational areas around the lake. There is usually a working kiosk at the entrance, but when we were there, it was out of service, so we had to go to the nearby Ace Hardware store to purchase it there. It was $10 for a 3 day permit. We definitely plan on coming back!

This campground was ok in our opinion. Sites are very open, you can definitely see all your neighbors. If you like to people watch then you might like it. Also, when we camped here, there was residual flooding from the weeks prior, so the lake shore was very dirty. However, the site was very clean and you had a choice in where to park your camper as there is no designated pad. You pretty much park it in the grass somewhere near the hookups.
