Come on Ohio, turn on the hot water in your rest rooms and showers. I've always loved this park for its trails and its proximity to the fun town of Yellow Springs. The sites are comfortable though not really isolated from one another. As someone noted, the camping area feels more like a city park than a wooded area.
The restrooms/showers were clean and well maintained. My only complaint was the lack of hot or even warm water in the showers and sinks. It was 40degrees there when we stayed.

These sites were way too close together with little or nothing between them. This is a very large state park. Why they crowded the sites so terribly is a mystery to me. See picture

I loved camping here. Our loop was up on a ridge with plenty of space and trees between the sites. Very quiet on a Friday night as well. The bathrooms were clean but showing their age. The metal partitions between the stalls were starting to rust and that looked bad. The setup for dumping gray water was unusual with big trap doors covering normal sized drains. You may need someone to help you hose things down, though. The valve for the hose was really tough to operate.
Again, this is a beautiful place. The woods here spoke to me.

This site worked well for us as we explored the Finger Lakes region. We booked too late for the more central Finger Lakes parks so we made day trips to Corning (great glass museum), Watkins Glen ( spectacular ravine), and some wineries. We were about half an hour away from Corning and from Watkins Glen.
Our campsite was quiet and very pleasant. The hookups were easy to use as usual. Bathrooms were super clean.
