Usually we would avoid campgrounds with 681 campsites like the plague but we wanted to be close to town. We were surprised, the campsites offer some privacy and the loops are spread out. The campground does not feel as big as it is. Try and get the outside of a loop.
We visited in September and some of the loops were closed. The campground was not particularly noisy.
Note: even in the shoulder season the wait to register - especially after 4pm- is long.

We loved our stay here, just a few miles from the border. Very quiet with a pretty view across a meadow (some other sites were more wooded). Probably not so good with a large rig, most vehicles were class B/B+.
The camp host let campers know there was a fox in an empty campsite- I’m surprised we didn’t see more wildlife given the surroundings.

The good: A pretty campground with spacious sites in a forested area Very convenient close to Sisters and Black Butte. Lots to explore. There were also trails from the campground that looked interesting. The campground itself was quiet w birds/wildlife.
The bad: the road noise and I’m usually fairly tolerant but it was a constant presence. Only got quiet late at night.
