We really enjoy camping at Chewacla State Park. It is quiet and set apart, although you are located only 10 minutes from a Walmart and grocery store. The sites are relatively level and most are situated in the wooded areas for privacy and atmosphere. We have stayed at Sites 11, 12 & 13, which are all back-in sites. They do have several pull-through sites available, as well. Included in the price is basic cable and they all have full-hookup, except the Primitive sites.

We had a wonderful time at this park. The staff was extremely friendly. We were able to move sites when a site on the waterfront became available without any frustration or hesitation on their part. We stayed on site 56 which had easy water access for us to use our kayaks, for us to go swimming, or just simply to have a view of the water. There were lots of fun things for the kids to do and we even took a sunset boat ride to learn more about the lake. We will definitely be back to Lake Ouachita.
