Separate sides for cars and trucks/rv’s. No restrooms that we could see. Was raining so didn’t really look around. No parking lines on the pavement for trucks so had to guess where to pull in.

Beautiful, spacious (really spacious)! Plenty of room for any size rig from a tent to the largest 5th wheel/ClassA. Plenty of space to turn around. We were here Oct 10 and it hadn’t rained for several days so ground was dry. There is evidence that if it rains some of the areas may warrant being careful before pulling in. Ground is pretty much level. Today it was windy and the water was choppy. Whole reason we selected this spot was to fish but not possible. With the wind and the water way down and muddy. Perhaps the spot on the other side of the river would have been better given the winds. Enjoyed the beautiful sunset, the whitetail, grouse, and pheasant. Easy access from I90 for all size rigs. Went for a wonderful walk as well. Would stay here again.
Verizon and TMobile service perfect.

44’ 5th wheel. 13’4” tall. Stayed April 6-10, 2022.
We found a spot 1.5 miles from SR64 nestled in the pines. Road in was quite rutted and bumpy for the first mile. Looks like it could be a mess when wet. Had to take it slow. 1 low hanging branch we couldn’t avoid. Good Verizon & TMobile service. Got some local TV channels too. No fee to camp here - 14 day limit.
Quiet! There are lots of spaces all through here. 1 mile in is a fire tower, outhouse (bring your own TP) & Arizona Trail.
Lockett Lake is about 1/2 mile more and had water but 1/4 road to it is closed. Easy walk back. Found 1 of the Twin Lakes & it had water. Didn’t see any wildlife around camper but plenty of Elk, mule deer and feral horses on the drive to the park every day.
Our friends came in from Tusayan and said the road wasn’t bad; took them an hour to go 17 miles.

FREE! Surprising easy in & out for dump & fresh water.
Located on SR191.
Dump & non potable water is on one side away from the building and potable water is across the parking lot (attached to building) so you can’t do both at one spot. The hose at the dump station is able to be connected to your tank flush.
Fresh water is a slow fill.

We were on their waitlist and they ended up having a last-minute cancellation so we got that spot. The campground is divided into two sections: 30 amp, which is the older section of the campground and 50 amp which is the newer section. The 30 amp side is definitely belt for smaller campers. The 50 amp side can accommodate just about any size rig.
Everything worked as it should. We were here middle of October so the heat was not an issue, but there are many shade trees throughout the park which would be very nice in the full heat of summer. The bath houses are some of the cleanest I have ever been in. Well appointed! The ladies had two stalls and two showers two sink vanities And a stacked washer dryer which was on the honor system. Two dollars a load and put your money in a box on the wall. The men’s did not have a washer dryer but did have space for one. Of course the pool was closed when we were here, but it looks awesome. Large deck, perfect place to lounge on a hot day.
Check in was a breeze. They looked up our good Sam number and we got a 10% discount which made our spot $40.50 for full hook ups. Well worth it for us as we have been through talking for a week.
It is a little on the noisy side as it backs right up against interstate 74. The noise just becomes white noise after a while however. We did not hear any trains come through while we were here. There are train tracks on the other side of the park.
Highly recommend this campground.

Booked on short notice 4/18/2024. Super friendly, clean, well maintained, inexpensive. They do close in the winter & open April 15 for the season. Easy in/out. Big rig friendly. If traveling Westbound on I90, you exit and have to come back a mile or so on the frontage road. There is about 3/4 mile of gravel road to the campground. Only 3 rigs when we stayed. Have horse corrals. Beautiful views. Campground is built into a hillside so plan accordingly with leveling. Would definitely stay again.

Granted we stayed a few days after a snow but there was no good gravel base to begin with. They were in process of dumping more gravel. Walk to office, parking lot, walk to shower house mud. Sites are very level but narrow. Showers have regular door, which is nice. If you are claustrophobic, shower will be difficult for you. Clean. It was evident there was not much of a Fall cleanup so grounds are messy with leaves, sticks. Just genera debris. Right off Highway so there is a little noise but this is a Journey which are often situated right off the route. Office staff friendly. Has dog park, baggie station empty. Washers made a lot of noise with in use. Dryers took 2X to get clothes dry. Town has all the conveniences you may need.

Stayed for 3 nights beginning of March 2024.
Have a 44’ 5th wheel.
Staff we encountered were very friendly.
Lots on the activity calendar to do. Older park but decently maintained. Small pool, laundry room small dirty but adequate. Most sites are level. Asphalt sites are very narrow. Picnic table provided. Many, many seasonal/annuals here and lots of smokers whom appear are allowed to smoke anywhere except inside buildings. Difficult to enjoy being outside with them all around smoking. Dog park is not very accessible - tucked back in corner and not real sure how to get to it without walking through someone’s site.
Good place to stay for a few days but we personally wouldn’t stay for any length of time.
