Sign posted military national guard training from June 12-24 (can’t remember exact end date, but rather would say later than sooner so nobody wastes their time like we did.)

Others were camping but with the 25+ giant military vehicles taking up the lot, we chose to take our two young children elsewhere as a safety precaution. GORGEOUS spot we wish we could have stayed at :(

Hidden gem. We were planning on Lonesomehurst but it was full on the Saturday evening we pulled in. 1/2 ton Sierra pulling 28’ ultralight travel trailer made it down here no problem. The road down to the campsite is a bit bumpy, just take it slow. Some sites are right on the water, gorgeous views! All back-in. Camp host is very friendly + helpful. Turnover rate seems to be pretty quick, lots of one nighters. Trails in the area and fishing in the lake if you’re licensed. Bring your bear spray! Oh, TONS of wind rolling thru this place. We didn’t get much of our “outside” stuff out so we didn’t lose it.

First off, Paul & Darrel are incredible in the office. We had originally booked two weeks here since my husband had a job in SLC, but we ended up extending TWICE totaling about 7 weeks at this park. After scoping out other parks in the area, we decided this was the best bang for our buck. The management is incredible and ALWAYS willing to work with you and help you out with whatever you need. Store is stocked with a few RV parts, snacks, frozen drinks, ice cream, etc. You can rent basketballs or volleyballs to play in the yards there. The pool is WARM (heated) even on cold days and management opened the hot tub almost daily for my family. Coalville has a couple restaurants, food marts with the basics. (We’re GF and DF and had to drive to Park City quite often for dietary needs. Only 25 mins.) The grounds are well kept. Spots are decently spaced. RV park is right next to cow fields so don’t be surprised if you smell cow piles at the end of the night but they are so beautiful and friendly, you can pet them at the gates if your calm enough. Some spots are very close to the highway so choose spots towards the middle or back pond if you’re sensitive to noise. We fished at the pond and the younger boys caught their first fish! We’d def stay here again for a night or a month!

I have talked to the office multiple times about booking my stay here and they are SO KIND and so helpful which makes it hard to leave this review but I feel called to because someone could really get their rig into a scary situation here. We are only two hours away so before booking an entire month with our two young children here, we drove out to Knoxville to scope this park out. I’d say avoid at all costs. The roads leading to the park are winding, TIGHT, and terrifying even without a trailer. I couldn’t imagine taking a Tiffin or a 5th wheel down these roads. Then you enter the park… it looks terribly run down with very little signage to direct you. Campers are all full time, TONS of garbage everywhere and again it was TIGHT in our Ford Explorer without towing anything. The lake seemed very dirty and just not even appealing which is unlike this area of Tennessee. It’s not even worth the $350 for a whole month. Also no AT&T cell service.

Right off the highway so super noisy. Pulled in on a Thursday night and park was PACKED. We thought it was the weekend crowd but it wasn’t! They cleared out and it filled back up for the weekend. Spaces are EXTREMELY close together all-around. Like RIDICULOUSLY close. We have an ultralight 28 foot and it took us an unusual 5-10 minutes to back in, nearly hitting a tree and the neighbors picnic table, camp hosts guide most campers in and he had to move neighbors items + picnic table just for us to squeeze in. With that type of setup, we had a gorgeous view of their sewage hose right outside our front door. Not ideal for over $60 a night once you pay for their upgraded WiFi because the free one doesn’t work. Camp hosts and management are kind but sort of unorganized. We had to move our spot on the second day and she gave us 4 spots to look at that weren’t even available. If you want an easy, simple check-in process you should probably avoid this place. They asked for my children’s full names for “homeland security” which has NEVER happened in our full time travels. Showers are hot but could definitely be cleaner. Pool is SUPER small but nice. We didn’t go because with 5 kids splashing around in there, they take over the entire pool. It seems like they are working on upgrades to the place like a cafe/coffee shop, there’s a nice field of grass where they offer horseshoes for surprisingly no charge. There is a nice creek running through the camp and some SUPER nice spots complete with wooden decks, chairs, fire pits. Some are even built overlooking the creek. Very cool. Those spots are probably 100 bucks though given they up charge the bigger spot you need.

We stayed at Echo for 7 weeks and needed one extra weekend night to charge up, dump, and fill to prep for boondocking. The camp host was helping us dump at the gas station and mentioned he had a couple spots open. (MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND LAST MINUTE!) we were so grateful to get a spot so we booked. Spots are SUPER close together and driving through the small park is stressful. Spots are paved with grassy areas. Directly behind a gas station so lots of traffic noise. Laundry on site but we didn’t use it. It had hookups we needed and everyone around was friendly. There is a river walk, a nice bridge, and the grass is decently maintained. We are full-timers and definitely would not choose this as a long-term stay.

Pros -
Open a availability for two large travel trailers with full hook ups last minute right as summer season is beginning. Heber City is 10 mins away with all you need for food/RV repair/first aid etc. Pretty location! Right below a dam so heads up! We had GREAT neighbors. Lots of full timers around but everyone is pretty friendly. Lots of dogs. Spaces are pretty tight but we were ok with it :) There are multiple gorgeous trails along the Provo river, a pond to fish in nearby, a large grassy field for kids to play in. The road around the whole park was paved so we were able to ride our bikes, skateboards, and electric scooters around all week which was great! Because...

Cons -
It’s April 2021 and the playground was still closed due to “the virus” so telling our 5 young children to stay off the awesome playground is just ridiculous at this point. Yet, all of the dirty, chipped picnic tables were ok to use, even though I’m sure they are NEVER cleaned or maintained whatsoever. Laundry is a MESS. Laundry Key is held hostage due to the virus as well. Mask up or you’re treated like a dog. Management checked us in with her back towards me, and spies on you with cameras while you’re doing laundry. Even if you’re doing laundry all alone, you must mask up. Not worth the price considering all amenities are closed. Should have paid $20/night.

First off - this is mostly a “full-timers” campground with short term people coming and going every week. Most of the full time campers are older and a bit run down, but it’s not a big deal to us. The park is extremely calm and quiet. Very well maintained as far as the grass and grounds.

This is NOT a typical campground. It’s about 10-12 level spots with FULL hook-ups. There is no laundry service, no extra bathrooms, absolutely nothing extra included besides the hookups. Though there IS a handyman that lives on site and is always willing to help with any RV repairs, including AC/heating issues which is very helpful for full-time travelers.

All in all, we have enjoyed staying here on Dwights property and would recommend this to anybody that doesn’t necessarily need the hot commodities that RV resorts provide :)

Great campground! We called to reserve and paid over the phone. Call to check in and hosts guide you to your spot. I guess it used to have some old west themed nights but it’s under new management since spring 2021. The new camp hosts are super friendly, extremely helpful about the area and they take great care of the place. Wish I could remember their names. Bathrooms + showers are very clean with nice water pressure and HOT water. Volleyball court, shaded pavilions, and sites are decently spaced. I’ve definitely seen worse! WiFi was offered but kind of spotty. NO cell service. (AT&T) We only stayed for one night but we would have stayed more if we were staying in the area. Great views of snake river just a short bike ride/drive away also! Don’t miss out :)

Easy check-in. Spots are decently spaced. Middle of NOWHERE campground so we were grateful to find a spot to hook up for he might. In a windy, HOT valley with absolutely no shade and impossible to use awning due to high winds. Camp host is SO kind + helpful. Showers are SUPER clean + warm and bathrooms are clean. Laundry room is clean. WiFi was decent, kind of spotty. It we expect that at campgrounds by now. Great overnight spot.
