Very well taken care of campground with beautiful views of the plains and Chimney Rock. Easy to get to and the owners are extremely nice. The office is also a store with ice cream and novelties. Definitely more mosquitos than we anticipated so come prepared with your choice of repellant. Trains pass by on a semi frequent basis. There seemed to be more trains on Sunday night but the rest of the week we only heard maybe 4-5 a day and maybe once overnight. Would stay here again.

Don’t waste your time here if it’s raining or been raining. Muddy everything. Sure there’s lots of rv’s and some are a bit junky but this place does have some nice views of the river. Would recommend adding gravel along the roads and sites to make it less muddy.

Unfortunately our stay here wasn’t the best, it rained the entire time and was freezing cold. The nature trail was super nice to walk around but we got to do that once when we arrived because the rest of the time we were there it rained which made the trail impassible. It’s a beautiful park with a small lake and some cabins. Very conveniently located to Niagara Falls and the on-site store had plenty of essentials so you likely didn’t need to go to a grocery store.

What a wonderful place! Friendly staff, well kept grounds, huge sites, beautiful views, small hike for more beautiful views, beautiful sunset and stargazing since there’s no light pollution. Need I say more? You must make a stop here! I sound like ad but seriously, it’s all true and we would camp here again in a heartbeat.

We came in on a Sunday in October and the campground was half full. By Monday there were maybe 10 campers and it felt as though we had the entire campground to ourselves. It was wonderful. But by Thursday, people started rolling in which we were happy about. Though it was nice having the whole place to ourselves, we welcomed the company. By Friday, the entire campground was full and people were decorating their golf carts for the golf cart parade that night. Campers were also setting up their haunted houses or themed camps for the trick or treaters which was to take place Saturday night. It was a site to see and it was all so much fun. That is likely why people have mentioned all the candy wrappers on the ground. Booking this campground was actually by accident because we meant to be closer to Louisville but it was the best mistake I’ve ever made. We will definitely be coming back here in October to partake in the Halloween festivities again. Just make sure to book early and reserve your golf cart!

We stayed here for 7 nights and enjoyed our stay. Sites and facilities were clean. 50 amp with water and sewer was nice too. Although 4 days into the trip we started losing power periodically from the grid which was not fun. We ended up having to disconnect overnight the last few days, so we didn’t have to hear the fridge resetting itself and waking us up. Power stayed pretty constant throughout the day but later in the evenings, overnight and in the mornings we’d lose power. Really close to the Smith River which was beautiful, cleaning rover in the entire world. Water clear as day. Check out the Battery Point Lighthouse and Trees of Mystery as well. Sweet spot. Would stay here again.

We were in a pinch and this location delivered. We have a 42’ motorhome with a Jeep Wrangler in tow and they had a pull through spot on a Saturday night. It was easy to get to, great directions from the staff and we had quiet neighbors. The only issue we faced was the one cherry plum tree on our way out of the site that wasn’t cut back far enough. Luckily we were able to maneuver around it. There is no cell service, wifi is spotty at best, no picnic tables but would definitely stay here again for an overnighter.

Smack dab in the middle of Lincoln and Omaha and just minutes away from the best steak of your life at Round the Bend Steakhouse in Ashland. Love that this place had beer on tap and a pool to cool off in. Spots are spacious and everyone was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
