I tried to call 6 times over a period of 3 days prior to check in to see what time check in is. No-one picked up the phone. Showed up at 11:30 since we didn’t know what time check in was.. For everyone: check in is at 1. The front desk woman was EXTREMELY rude and tried to charge me a $50 fee for showing up an hour and a half early. We left and came back at 1. She finally let us check in.

Pros of our stay:
-We stayed at a nice site with a tree. No complaints there.

-People were friendly. Had great neighbors and conversations during our stay.

-Easy set up & nice camping experience.

-clean water!!

-camp bathrooms were clean & appeared to be brand new.

-campground shop had just about everything you may need inside.

-the restaurant on property was nice. Food was good & people were nice. A lovely dining experience & the highlight of my trip.

-nice views.

Cons:
-lots of long-term & permanent residents. People build around their campers with decks, add-on buildings, etc. Looked extremely tacky & dirty.

-lots of upgrades need to be done or are in progress of being done. They seem to be adding paved sites in some areas, which will be nice when finished but makes everything look dirty & messy right now.

-amenities are a bit outdated or closed. The park is closed. The jump pad is ancient. The pool was closed but looked extremely dirty. Clubhouse was closed. The restaurant (the Angler) was awesome and probably the highlight of the trip.

-there are lots of abandoned things around the property which makes it look cluttered.

-grounds are not well maintained. There were open septic tank pits you could see waste. It even appeared there was a bit of waste on the ground.

-if it rains, things get muddy, gross, and difficult to maneuver through.. quickly.

-LOTS of trains passing through.

-wifi barely worked.

-Data was pretty much nonexistent.

Overall, it was a fine experience. But in my opinion, too overpriced for what it is.

Showers were disgusting. Bathrooms smelt. None of the amenities, except laundry, were open. Wifi didn’t work.
