Redstone campground is awesome. We had a great dual site with our best friends which worked perfectly. Water available right next to us and amazing views. Sun light didn't hit us until 9:45am and it was shine by around 6ish so if you are camping in September,.plan for cold early mornings and late afternoons/evenings. River is just at the bottom of the campground, we walked there every day which was a great place to hang out. We would definitely stay there again but maybe at the loops with water and electricity. Even though further up, we could still hear the cars from 133

The best place to stay around Fruita / Grand Junction if you don't want to stay in an expensive RV Resort. I love the amenities (full hookups), how well maintained the park is, how well the hosts keep the sites and the club house.
We love staying here as a stop (sometimes a night or multiple) while driving west.
My only advise is that this area is very hot in the summer and we struggled in late June. Our site had minimal tree coverage so something to consider during those months.
Depending where you are, you can hear the noise from i70 or the other main road that takes you to Colorado National Monument. Make sure to pick a site inwards and towards the clubhouse or little lake.

Easy access from the road, we had a site with lake views. We actually could walk to the water with our paddle boards without needing to drive.
Signal was very spotty, because of it we couldn't stay longer.

Great campground, easy access to the lake, wonderful views.
Our side (93) was a pain to back in (20 foot trailer) because of two tree trunks cut off that did not let you go further, so our truck had to be parked on our friends site.
Be aware that the place is a mosquito paradise, we were eaten alive there.
If it wasn't for the mosquitos, I would definitely go back there.
You barely had signal from the Mineral loop, we put our weeboost up to help out.

We wanted to stay closer to Steamboat Springs and still be in a state park. Great leveled sites, water points every so often although we had one by our site (26). Electric hookup and there is a dump station on site.
There is a trail around the park great to walk your dogs but be advised of the mosquitos, they are evil and bite hard! Kind of spoiled our walk and even sitting outside after dinner.
Laundry was awesome, $1 for washing and $75 for dryer. Machines looked relatively new too.
There is road noise, you can hear US40 but if you pick a site further out it isn't as bad.

We stayed at Loop D - 102
Sites leveled, pull through, electric only but with water spigots nearby. Dump station available.
Restrooms available at every other loop - clean but full of cob webs.
Main building has a laundry which accepts cards via an app - that was super cool.
Great paved trail for walking and biking by the lake.
Great cell coverage!!!
Water level was low so you had a bigger beach to play with.
My other complaint is that the placed was not being well looked after. What was supposed to be grass, was all weeds. Some overgrown. It's a shame.
Book early, this is a busy state park at the weekends. Sites at the edge of the loops get reservoir views!

We were spoiled with the site by the creek. It was a pull through which made it easy to get in and out. We had a lovely share by the trees in the morning and the trailer itself was our shade in the afternoons.
The laundry was clean and perfect for what we needed.
Easy access to town but far enough to be away from it. You can hear the highway noises though.
