This is definitely a resort in terms of amenity quality. You won't find gravel anywhere. The sites are all reasonably level (they do a good job of providing cement drives on uneven terrain). They have well-priced propane on site, as well as a legitimately nice playground for kids. Oh, and the dog park is actually pretty nice!

A few things:
1) This place is NOT expensive. You absolute get what you pay for, and their monthly rate (650) is incredibly nice considering the quality of the RV resort, the location, and ease of access.
2) You get highway noise 24/7, but as someone sensitive to noise, I didn't actually find myself bothered at all. I slept well, as well.
3) You're near all sorts of businesses, from REI, Lowes, Cabelas, Home Depot, restaurants, etc... It's a great location.
4) This is not a complaint, but a warning so you understand - Money you give the RV resort is money you'll NEVER get back. They do not do refunds or any sort of prorating. In other words, if you pay for a week and leave half way through, you've lost that money for the half week.
5) They take excellent care of the campground, and they are also watching everything (cameras are everywhere), so abide by the rules and save yourself some stress.
6) The shower and laundry facilities are TOP NOTCH. No questions asked.

The cell service was good, so no worries if you work from home or are looking to stream, you'll be absolutely fine (tested on Verizon and AT&T by a former USMC network guy).

My wife and I stayed for 3 months while she worked in Alamosa, and overall, we were very happy with our stay, and after having stayed in a campground in Massachusetts for three months immediately following, we REALLY appreciated the price of their monthly rate ($5xx/month).

The place is very clean, and that's due to the hosts' (Ron and Deb) constant work. They've been there for three years and pretty much run the place for the owner, who isn't on site. Ron can be a bit forward with help and advice, and I was even a bit insulted when he offered twice to back my rig in for me (I'm 26 years old with a 38' fifth wheel) as I've been hauling trailers since I was 16 on the thoroughbred farm I grew up in, but during our stay, I realized he sees a lot of people who either damage the sites or really struggle to back in at a 45 degree angle, and once he saw me whip back into my spot and handle things with my rig over the course of the following month, he began to see I could handle the responsibility. My wife and I just slowly figured out Ron is super friendly, always looking to help, and wants to make sure the newbies don't make the same mistakes he's seen over the years, so thanks Ron!

You'll find ample space to walk your dogs, and even see quite a bit of wildlife in the park, especially deer. Oh, and they have a pretty legit dog park.

All the sites are level and constantly maintained. The water system is checked yearly by a water specialist, and the water pressure is a solid 45 PSI with heated spigots during the winter. The campground WiFi is even very good (30+MBPS down, 6 UP), as well as both Verizon and AT&T.

It's very, very windy in South Fork. You won't really hear it inside your camper, but if you open a door outside and you're not ready, you could lose it. It slowly got to me to the point where any breeze just pissed me off.

Overall, SOLID place to stay that's close to skiing and a lot of hiking.

My wife and I travel full-time, but we took a four day vacation to Glacier and there's nothing really bad to say about the campground... If I recall correctly (I'm writing this five weeks later), the site was level, plenty long for our 38' fifth wheel, dually, and second truck. If you have dogs, you'll have PLENTY of trails within walking distance to exercise them before you abandon them to go the park, haha. We hiked a few really cool trails with one leading to a secluded lake that was so clear you could see ancient fallen trees in the lake bed.

The location is literally right off the road at the West entrance to Glacier... It was very convenient and Glacier is AWESOME.

Even though the campground is pretty out there, the Verizon service was adequate for working from home, streaming from your favorite services, etc. (I was a USMC network engineer). You shouldn't experience any problems as I tested while the campground was pretty much at capacity and during high internet usage times.

All in all, there's nothing to keep you from staying here.

The only negative about this campground (specifically, the 300s sites) is they are very expensive, evenly monthly ($1200-1400). All the 300s sites are long, graveled, and level, but without shade, concrete, and ability to hookup to local internet services, such as Comcast, I feel like $1200 is just crazy expensive for an RV spot in a small town of MA that's an hour away from Boston. But, we needed a long-term place to stay.

The campground is about 15 minutes from Plymouth (landing of the pilgrims), which isn't a bad little sea town, but it's not something you'll be visiting over and over if you stay long term, so I'm not considering it something that should be factored into the total cost of a site.

If you have a family, and COVID isn't a thing, there are two large playgrounds (like, really large), volleyball court (a bit run down, but you could still play no problem), solid beach with a large pond (it's is definitely clean, but there are a lot of lily pads, get over it), two pools, and a very large clubhouse and arcade center. Also, if you have pets, you have PLENTY of places to walk or go for bike rides if you take the trails out from the rear of the campground or visit the bogs off the "road" you pass once you turn into the campground.

One thing I would like to say is the campground hosts are awesome. They've been coming back for years and they really made our experience a good one, and I developed a relationship with the husband of the couple (the Troutman's). He helped me make a platform for the backseat of my truck and was the one constant source of conversation when COVID was full force (I work from home).

A lot of the Google reviews mention the owner(s) were very rude, but from my multiple experiences with them, I'm going to assume most of those people leaving those reviews probably deserved anything they got.

My wife and I travel full-time, but we took a four day vacation to Yellowstone and there's nothing really bad to say about the campground... If I recall correctly (I'm writing this five weeks later), the site was level, plenty long for our 38' fifth wheel and truck, and there was free extra parking at the top of the campground. If you have dogs, you'll have PLENTY of trails within walking distance to exercise them before you abandon them to go the park, haha.

The location is about 30-40 minutes from the West entrance of Yellowstone, which is a great little town for shopping, food, and the incredible bear and wolf sanctuary (you must visit!).

Even though the campground is pretty out there, the AT&T and Verizon service was adequate for working from home, streaming from your favorite services, etc. (I was a USMC network engineer). You shouldn't experience any problems as I tested while the campground was pretty much at capacity and during high internet usage times.
