We scored an ocean view site for one night last summer…and wanted to come back. This is one of the most beautiful RV parks we have ever stayed in. It’s so nice you just want to hang out in your camp spot and walk to the beach a few times a day. Unlike a lot of Oregon coastal parks this one has a lot of spots that are sunny most of the day. We stayed in 3 different sites over the 5 days…one site with a small view of the ocean and a tent site…and all of them were sunny. The tent sites are just as nice as the sites with hook ups…so if you can boondock you won’t be sorry. There’s a dump station right across the road from the campground you can easily dump and fill your water tank as needed. We have a small RV…so this is no big deal for us as we are out and about every day exploring.

We walked to the beach in the morning with our coffee..5 minutes…and in the evening for the sunset. When were here last summer we saw whales. Two of our three sites had a lawn and our dog loved just hanging out.

There’s lots of nice hiking in the area with spectacular views of the ocean and the forests. This is what we spent most of our time doing.

We rode our bikes from the camp ground into Brookings one day. The town is a long strip mall with few restaurants and no shops of interest…pretty industrial with little charm. The bike ride in and back was a bit hairy…since most of it was along highway 101…so wouldn’t recommend this activity.
