All the above reviews are correct. This park is beautiful and a destination in and of itself! Great hiking/biking/running trails with information/history boards are located throughout the trails. It's extremely quite. We checked in on Dec. 14 and out on Dec. 18 and had the park to ourselves with 70 weather. A couple things that were not mentioned.

1. The park rangers and volunteers (hosts) are incredible! Ask lots of questions and they will be very helpful providing great tips and restaurants too! Check out Treylor Park (115 E. Bay St., Savannag GA 31410.)

2. The fire rings have nice cooking grates to cook over an open fire if that's your thing!

3. All camp sites are well kept and cleaned by the staff! Including where the tents set up as well. We were staying in our trailer but I was still impressed. They also have really cool pioneer campsite on the southern loop trails. If your tent camping this is the way to go!

4. The trip to downtown is easy and free street parking is plentiful on the south end of Forsyth Park. The city also runs a free bus that drives the whole city which is about 1 square mile. They are called DOT - white buses. The visitor center in downtown will tell you all about it. The visitor center is also extremely friendly and provides one hour of free parking while you're getting info. All city tours also depart from this location.
