Bad experience: Reserved three nights, changed to two upon arriving. Woman at the front desk had difficulty with the computer refunding the 3rd night. There was no transaction showing up in the credit card app, so I asked for a paper receipt. She said it can take 7 days to get refunded. Emailed 10 days later with copy of receipt, no reply. Called the next day and woman said “it’s already been refunded, take it up with your bank.” First time ever having a business tell me to file a dispute. Posted a similar review on Google Maps, they replied, "you are absolutely correct" - yet still didn't refund. (They had no cancellation policy on the web site, or in the reservation email they send you.) Other bad: web site says “digital nomad fiber internet” but the internet was terrible for the 2 days. Woman at front desk was already aware of it. The pool was closed and it’s hot in Page, AZ. One star is for the bathrooms, which are new and very clean.

everyone’s in a good mood near the beach, minutes from Pismo. CA state parks running a solid campground, friendly and helpful.

"rockhound" alludes to the geology, but it's the view of the Florida Mountains at sunrise that will probably be the lasting memory. sites 1-3 with no hookups are really excellent for views but there's a bit of a steep incline that made us switch to 4x4. Lover's Leap trail delivers astounding 100 mile views, but is 1000 feet of elevation in a mile, kind of worth it just to drive 10 minutes to the trail head, where there's a picnic area. There's a nearby cell tower, which delivered surprisingly consistent internet for what feels like a very remote location.

One of our favorite so cal beach campgrounds. we really like the ability to walk the beach trail to the pier area for food and drink (about 1.8mi).Trail is dog friendly, beach less so. Only negatives are the highway noise at night and Camp Pendleton sometimes has training where large explosions rumble from a distance. Staff is always friendly, bathrooms clean, well run.
