I don’t mind paying a premium for a good RV park but at their rate I expected a little more room and clean bathrooms stocked with toilet paper instead of a moldy shower, no toilet paper and a rusty shelving unit to set your things. No built in benches or anywhere to sit in the bathroom.

Alamo KOA exceeded our expectations. From their checkin service to their bathrooms and cafe, everything was expertly run, clean and safe. They make sure to apprise you daily of what is scheduled that day. Their laundry room is spotless and their bathrooms cleaned throughout the day. The location is perfect to visit the city and being next to the Salado Creek Greenway is a bonus for cyclists and dog walkers. Another side of the park borders a municipal Golf course that boasts the longest drive in Texas. If you want to catch a Spurs game, you can walk from the camp via the greenway to the Frost Bank Center. This camp is now a favorite’s of ours and we will go back!

We had a pull through for one night and paid in advance so no one to greet you. Bathrooms were not clean and campsite is crowded. No cable or Wi-Fi and absolutely no security. We will not return.

We arrived at 6pm and the office was closed. Had to call the hotel/casino and be checked in by two staff members who clearly did not know the RV park. We had to go to the hotel to get bathroom and ice codes. Also, on their booking site it says pull throughs are available. We booked one but once they gave us the site, realized it was half of a pull through. All their “pull through sites” are really back ins you share. We found one and took it up for the night. Other than that super clean and the staff is friendly. Not much security at night but it is off the beaten path. I would not leave my RV unlocked though.
