I’m glad we had a good working shower in our trailer with full hookups because the showers looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and the mens restroom was out of toilet paper for several days, showing that no one was cleaning or monitoring the facilities. We were in space 82, a deluxe pull through, that was down wind from the very stinky and full dumpsters. When we inquired about the smell, we were told that trash p/u was on Tuesday, which was hard to believe because it was the day after (Wed) and they were already full. Make sure you realize when you book this RV park, that you are aware it is NOT in Yosemite, but is in the town of Coarsegold and is many miles from the South Gate of Yosemite. Our site neighbors made this error and were disappointed with the distance from the National park. All sites are dirt, with very little gravel. Pretty good Wi-Fi, for most of the time I had 2 bars. The office closes at 4:00 everyday except Sunday, when it closes at 2:00, so, if you arrive after that time you have to find your info envelope on the board across the parking lot. If you don’t fit into your site, you have to hope you can locate a couple of golf cart employees that can direct you to another available site. If you can’t find them, look for them playing horseshoes with the long term renters. We would probably stay here again, because there is a real lack of RV resorts in the area that can accommodate a large rig.

Space 28 is at the far end by their maintenance yard, since it’s on the end you have privacy on one side and your back end is up against a hill. The site was definitely long enough for our 35 foot trailer and our full-size Ford truck. It’s a very quiet campground and very well maintained. Since we were coming from Southern California and we were going to lose an hour, we were concerned about arriving after dark, because they do not allow you to pull in after 5 o’clock. I wish someone would’ve told us that they have a space available for after hours arrivals. It’s right next to the office and it’s space number 50. It’s a pull through site and you’re supposed to check in with them in the morning if you use it.

I would stay here again for the convenience of the wineries and location. But, the spaces are very narrow and close together. thankfully no one was staying in the space next to us, but if they were, my slide outs would’ve been probably just feet from their trailer. The RV park was only about 2/3 full, but if it was at full capacity, it would’ve been extremely noisy, crowded and there seems to be a lot of partiers at this campground. We were in a “super premium” pull through site and we still didn’t have much room for our truck to park next to our trailer. We had to pull the vehicle partially on the grass to get off the road. We stayed in space 16 and it was on an end, but it was right next to the employee building and the propane tank, so there was a lot of coming and going constantly.
Management texts you with activities and things that are happening on a day-to-day basis, which is nice. One day they had a little farmstand pull in and we were able to pick up some fresh vegetables. They have a restaurant on site which serves pizza, sandwiches and salads. Also they have entertainment on the weekend around a fire pit.
If you bring bicycles, you have to be extremely careful with them as there are thieves that come through with heavy duty cable cutters and the RV resort recommends that you take a tire off and put it inside your vehicle in addition to using major locks. They sent us an email prior to our stay to alert us to this problem.
Also, they have fire pits and allow wood fires and have a good Wi-Fi signal.

We stayed here over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Spaces were roomy, long and far enough apart from your neighbor. We didn’t golf, but the golf course was well-maintained and the RV sites were immaculate as well. They do trash and recycle pick up from your site and there is a pool, several small jacuzzis, tennis and pickle ball courts. Beware that everyone has a dog, and they all bark at each other. They don’t allow open fires, but you can bring your propane fire pit. We did the Palm Canyon nature trail to a desert oasis. Evidently at certain times you can see bighorn sheep, we did not. Galleta Meadows is pretty neat. Lots and lots of large metal sculptures that you can drive right up to. We ate at the Coyote steakhouse on Christmas Day, for a delicious prime rib dinner, and it’s pretty much the nicest restaurant in town. We also had burgers at Big Horn burgers and shakes, located at the Palm Canyon RV resort. We would definitely stay here again.

Despite the beautiful backdrop, I’m not sure I would want to stay here again. Most of the spaces are so tight, back to back, and so close to your neighbor that you have absolutely no privacy. Every window and door faced another rig. Unless you are fortunate enough to get a space in row A (closest to the road) or row E, which is up against the hill, they will need to position you into your space with a forklift. In these rows: B,C or D, you will need to park your tow vehicle in a small parking lot. It gave me an anxious feeling, knowing that if I had an emergency at home, I would not be able to leave on my own without their forklift service.
Many many of these sites are booked year after year by retirees who have first priority and can stay for a long stretches of time. Therefore, it is difficult to get into this campground. There is a general store and a restaurant on site that serves breakfast and lunch.
The surrounding area is beautiful and right across the street from Silver lake where you can fish from the shore.
Because the sites are so close together, there are no campfires allowed, only propane and you can’t have it cranked up to a maximum flame.
There is no Wi-Fi at this campground, but I had a good signal with my Verizon service. Also, because it’s filled with older folks, there are no real partiers/screaming kids, or people to keep you up at night.
One other thing to mention, you can’t use their bathroom or showers unless you pay a fee.
