Confirmed by 8 users | Last reported on March 05, 2023We found this park purely by accident. What a gem! Some may find this park a little off the beaten path. Located about 8 miles east of I-17, it is well away from freeway noise, yet close enough to see the sights in Camp Verde, Cottonwood and Sedona. The park is very clean and well managed. Hosts Eileen and Andy were very kind and helpful in making our reservation and then escorting us to our site when we arrived. Andy returned to check on us and make sure we were settled in. Sites are very large and each one surrounded by rail fencing. Large trees provide shade to most sites. Laundry facilities and restrooms/showers are very clean and the entire property is well maintained. Owners host donuts and coffee in the covered meeting area on Saturday mornings. Only complaint would be weak cell service. We look forward to staying at this park when we return to the area.

I thought it was a great little spot. We were in site 37 and the internet was great. We think it is a good spot for overnight. We did not like the closeness of the other spots.
We would return for a stay over again.

What a delightful find this place was! Zane Grey is a fairly small, incredibly clean, ridiculously cute RV park sitting amongst beautiful trees next to the West Clear Creek. Our site (#50) was incredibly level (yay!), large, and easily accessible.

We stayed at Zane Grey RV Park in late January 2019.
We had site 22 which was awesome- very deep and wide.
We found the office staff and hosts to be very friendly and helpful.
The park was quiet and had nice amenities. The showers were clean, the laundry room was clean, the dog park was great and we looked at their rental cabins and they were the best we've seen at any park.
There is a nice little hike right on the property which takes you to a little stream- it was lovely.
We were also able to get our rig washed and waxed right in our site for a very reasonable price- ask in the office for the recommended guys name and number. They did a great job.
We will definitely stay here again!

This part is very well kept, clean and friendly. Located several miles east of Camp Verde and in a low spot makes this park not work friendly (if you work from cell data). In multiple speed tests with and without our weboost we were able to sporadically get good download speeds (8-10mb) but the upload was practically non-existent (less than 1mb). Free WiFi is working for the time being with a large dose of patience. Don't expect to video conference or screen share over Verizon. When in town doing laundry today the speeds weren't any more reliable or consistent. This park is great for a weekend off work and practically on the hiking/off-road trails. Lack of cell data for the price we paid is the only reason we wouldn't stay here for more than a night again.

The park is very well maintained, had large mature shade trees, wide sites, and people are friendly. However, it is a little far from town (15 minutes to groceries in Camp Verde, but 30 mins to Cottonwood for Walmart, Home Depot, and breweries). But the big downside was the cell service is very bad. The cell towers are across the valley on a mountain, and can be fast if you have line of sight. However, our site was in the back up against a hill that shaded us. Was barely able to get any signal, and even voice calls weren't working. However if you go to the front of the park my AT&T phone could get 10 Mbps down, and if you drive up to the street on the hill above, 30 Mbps. TMobile hotspot was able to do OK, but not great. So it's just bad location being tucked away in the back. The park wifi is Tengo, but actually delivered what they promised. Free is 1Mbps up/down, but you can get 5/2 Mbps for $30 a month, and it seemed to actually get that speed and was possible to stream some Netflix at good enough quality. So for a pretty good monthly rate, it turned out OK.

We were hugely impressed with our experience here this past weekend (Labor Day). I really wanted to be further north and out of the heat, but when you wait until 4 weeks prior to make plans, you have far fewer options. We were camping with another family, and it was their first time, and Zane Grey was able to give us adjoining sites on relatively short notice.
The sites were spacious and level. We have slides on both sides of our trailer, and still had PLENTY of room (10 or 15 feet?) between us and the adjoining sites. They also have huge shade trees all through the campground, which also helps create a little more privacy.
Bathrooms were IMMACULATE. By far the best I've seen in our trips. The grounds were spotless as well. They had coffee and donuts on Saturday morning in their ramada.
The people there tended towards the older crowd - we didn't see any other kids there. Having said that, they had no issues with kids, but ours were the only ones there. Lots of dogs there as well, bu amazingly enough we didn't hear any of the dogs barking at each other. I'm not quite sure how that happened, but it was nice. People were super friendly.
The owners and staff were all wonderful as well. Super friendly and they take a lot of pride of ownership. We will DEFINITELY stay here again!

We stayed 2 nights in October. The bathhouse was a bit old, but very clean. The man who led us to our site, though, was very helpful. We're still clumsy about hooking up, and he was able to help us, giving us an attachment for our water hose that made connecting so easy.

This is one of the best run parks we have ever stayed at. When calling to make reservations the staff made sure I knew about all of their current specials and tried to make sure I got the best nightly rate. We showed up before check-in and the were nice enough to help us check-in and get situated at our site even though it was their lunchtime. They gave use pamphlets of the area, local restaurants, a candy pack, and even dog treats. The park is immaculate and they take great pride in keeping it clean and tidy. The staff made sure they were not disturbing me while I sat outside during the day when they were doing maintenance and even took away my trash for me. The site is fairly large, with a great share tree, as most of the spots are. The dog run is well kept, along with the recreation area, and laundry room. We were able to work remote, stream video, game on Xbox using a mobile router on an ATT mobile sim getting over 20mbps minimum. Our cellphones using Verizon were getting speeds of under 2mbps. The park Wi-Fi using Tengo service stated service of 5mbs down and 2mbps up, but I was getting just over 2 down standing next to the WiFi repeater. The creek access is a nice added bonus, but the open space is small to access the water. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the park.
