Hidden Hollow campground at Fancy Creek is reservable through Tuttle Creek State Park on the KSOutdoors.com website. It is quiet, secluded and as the name infers, in a deep hollow. The wind is much less allowing for campfires where it could not happen outside the hollow. The temperature is more moderate from extremes due to protection of hills around it. Lots of trees, mostly pine, not a bad site in the place but some leveling required. All electric, picnic tables, fire rings, and poles for lanterns. Water at spigots at campground entrance. Dump station. Trail heads for hiking. Small, quiet and roomy. Absolutely love it here.

Booked online 30 miles out. Received confirmation within 5 minutes, late checkin Very easy. Brand new park that is expanding. Designer definitely has camping experience. Mostly gravel pull thru sites. Ours was perfectly level. Great water pressure. Large sites wide enough apart and correctly angled for privacy and space. This is a New park!!!! The trees for each site have not had time to mature. There is great use of what trees they do have. The price is Very reasonable. Wifi is great but only 2 bar 4G Horizon.

Needed a stop for the night. Experience and venue is phenomenal. Lots for families with kids and lots of places for adults to just sit and enjoy. Store, restaurant, showers, salt water pool, all pull thru level sites, picnic tables, patios with grills, basketball, volleyball, bikes, horseshoes, ring toss. Hosts efficient and friendly, place is immaculate. Some road noise as this is conveniently right off the highway.

We were promptly shown to our site. It was a bit small but we made reservations for a week only a few weeks out. Very popular campground that is run very efficiently. Great location Very near western side id Rocky Mountain National Park. Everyone criticized the upper loop but we loved those sites. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Easy reservation process just make sure you receive a confirmation text. Off 26 by 1/4 mile with easy in and out pull throughs with full hookup and level sites. Great view of Chimney Rock - lovely lights at night. Great stayover with no indication of permanent residents. Everything clean and well maintained Especially the restrooms. Train tracks about 1/2 a mile away in a valley but we never noticed in our rv. The shop/snack bar the owners have is awesome-sandwiches, snacks, great souvenirs, beer and ice cream - they make the waffle cones to order- YUM!

This is like 2 parks in one location, so lets review each:
Upper level - large level spots, partial shade, close to softball field, nice splash pad, event center, a basic mini golf, kids fishing pond, paved hiking trail, and park entrance. You get cell coverage up here and really good roads. Newer area.
Lower level - close to forested areas with lots of wildlife activity. Older sites (and it shows). Also very accessible to lake, hiking trails around the lake and in the hills, the swimming beach, nature center, store, restaurant and marina. The last three are impressively operated by one family and the attention to detail in the operations and products are impressive enough to merit staying at this park just for them. The lower level campground is run by the state and has design and maintenance issues. Do Not get here in the dark if you are not familiar with these campsites. Some are not easily navigated, level or accessible without daylight.
Accessibility between upper and lower is by the paved road or an unmarked trail that travels on the left going up. The hiking here has always been great but is less so now due to the state not repairing the awesome swinging footbridge after a flood a few years back.
We will stay here again but hope park maintenance steps up their game on the lower level (correctly installed firepits for all would be a Great start!)

Great dry camping location. Clean vault toilets, clean grounds that need mowing. Small campground with multiple size options. NO WATER AVAILABLE!! Sites are level but low hanging branches are a real problem and severely limit options for anything over 9 ft tall. Sites are spacious, have picnic tables, prep tables, lantern hooks, grills, fire rings with grill grates and tent pads along with space for rv’s or extra vehicles. Great hiking right from campground (see Mountain Top Loop Trail), beautiful overlook. Very quiet, scarcely used hidden gem. Single sites $8, double sites $14- must stay first night, first come first serve.

Road in is horrendous. Bathrooms are outdated, falling apart and dirty. Boat ramp is littered with tree debris from past floods and eroding. Grass needs mowing, roads in park need fixed. Good water pressure, gravel mostly level sites, verizon 4 bars 5g. Most sites shaded. This is a good kayaking lake. Hiking/horse trail is not marked well nor maintained. This is the more remote access on this lake and several picnic areas have been abandoned. (You can still see the old picnic tables, water hookups, grills, and pavilion covers). It Is quiet. Saw some wildlife. Not trashy just not maintained. Sites arranged strangely-picnic tables, grills and fire rings closer to neighbor than assigned site.

We booked 1 hour out, past check in time. Easy to get to, well lit and marked. Late check in was super easy. Too bad the bbq next door and pizza place inside had closed (late arrival) but the restaurant across the street was awesome with great service. Park is close to I70 so yes there is road noise but the park itself was Very quiet. Checked everything out next day and was amazed at efficiency, cleanliness and variety of sleeping and activity options. Great pancake and sausage breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. Great amenities for kids
