Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 15, 2023We visited Greenleaf in early March of 2015. Greenleaf has four different campgrounds, but we stayed in Deer Run. This is because Deer Run has 50 amp sites with water and sewer. Each site has its own picnic table and you can make a fire pit if your site doesn't have one already. We had to back into our site, which would have been tight if the lot was full. However, in early March there were only two other RV'ers in Deer Run.
The staff is extremely friendly. Our camp host did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Even as we walked through the park, employees would stop to tell us hello.
The view was nice, and we were near a playground where the kids could play while we watched them from the RV. Internet didn't work at all, and we did not get a cellular signal the entire time we stayed.
Hiking is noteworthy, particularly on the 18 mile trail they have. Everything is handicap accessible and they even have a cabin on the lake specifically built for handicap accessibility.
We walked by the cabin and it is beautiful.
Greenleaf has fishing (even a heated indoor fishing dock, as well as a kids pond), mini golf, a swimming beach, a swimming pool with a waterslide, and a nature center with kids activities.
The only downside was their bathrooms - they were undergoing renovations while we were there, so the male and female restrooms were combined into one. I didn't use the bathrooms but maybe once or twice. They had some daddy longlegs spider visitors, and the shower door is easy to peek over.
Our favorite activity was the hiking trail, hands down.
Give Greenleaf a try, we really enjoyed it.

We have camped here several times. We always stay in the Cypress Row area by the lake. A very quiet area the only real noise is the train whistle far in the distance and the boats headed out from the marina. We like to camp around site#22 and site#24 is the biggest and best at Cypress Row. The marina rents kayaks, canoes and paddle boats. The Malt Shop in Braggs is good for an old fashioned cheeseburger and krinkle fries. We saw some wild turkeys while driving in the park the last time we were there in June.

We had a wonderful time at this park. Site 6 had good power and water with a fairly level pad. Not all sites are level though. The site was difficult to back into with my 35 foot fifth wheel because of the steep drop-off from the narrow road, but most sites do not have this problem. The park has some nice hiking trails and we really enjoyed kayaking the lake. Quiet and serene except for the occasional small boat. The park feels small, but is actually huge. Best place to buy firewood is the Truvalue hardware store in Gore, OK. $20 for 1/4 rick.

DATE OF VISIT = Oct. 2020...our site was in the Gobblers Ridge section, water/50A only...outdoor lights from the adjacent bathhouse were bright at night...we did not use the showers that had a lot of webs and spiders in them...seasonal closures of the laundry, splash pad, and weekends only for the marina & grill...mini golf open $5 per person, putting surfaces are all concrete (we declined)...paved trails in park are nice...Greenleaf Trail to suspension bridge is navigable, but requires walking on the highway bridge to connect part of it...$25/hour for tandem kayak rental...lots of OATV...campground was very full during our stay, campers were quiet at night, but there was road noise...Critters Spotted: great blue herons, armadillos, grackles, whitetail deer, bluebirds

The land is beautiful. There are trails to take and mini golf to play. Some bathrooms were closed for work. The swing bridge was closed so you could not do the long hike. No phone service when down by the lake. You have to up by office to get reception.

This park was very well kept with new bathroom/shower buildings. There is a place to put in your fishing boat, and docks to par, with a grill to eat a burger. Family friendly, but quiet enough for the empty nesters like us. Kids discovery center and paved walking path. Two troops of Scouts were visiting the weekend we went. They were very responsible and respectful. As always, there are some people who let their dogs bark, which is pretty annoying. There is a super long trail (something like 16 miles) but no shorter paths. It is important to know there are zero bars, so anyone needing to reach you would need to call the sheriff who will contact the park rangers to deliver a message in an an emergency.

Campground is easy to find. Easy to park our trailer, big sites. Lovely lake with lots of activities. Marina with full rentals, grill and store. Planned on doing a 12 mile hike but couldn’t get past the swinging bridge that was out. The website did say the bridge was out, but was hoping there was a way to hike around it. Limited cell phone service. Could get a call out or text, but that was about it. Our site was fantastic. CR 024. 30 amp service and shared water. We could stretch a hose to fill when we first arrived at our site.

This is like 2 parks in one location, so lets review each:
Upper level - large level spots, partial shade, close to softball field, nice splash pad, event center, a basic mini golf, kids fishing pond, paved hiking trail, and park entrance. You get cell coverage up here and really good roads. Newer area.
Lower level - close to forested areas with lots of wildlife activity. Older sites (and it shows). Also very accessible to lake, hiking trails around the lake and in the hills, the swimming beach, nature center, store, restaurant and marina. The last three are impressively operated by one family and the attention to detail in the operations and products are impressive enough to merit staying at this park just for them. The lower level campground is run by the state and has design and maintenance issues. Do Not get here in the dark if you are not familiar with these campsites. Some are not easily navigated, level or accessible without daylight.
Accessibility between upper and lower is by the paved road or an unmarked trail that travels on the left going up. The hiking here has always been great but is less so now due to the state not repairing the awesome swinging footbridge after a flood a few years back.
We will stay here again but hope park maintenance steps up their game on the lower level (correctly installed firepits for all would be a Great start!)
