Just hit 10:00pm and Sun had gone down. Pulled I to the parking lot and slept in the camper. We felt safe and out of the way of large trucks. If you are a light sleeper earplugs might be needed because trucks pull in during the night for rest.

Wow! This park was a pleasant surprise and a Godsend! We were pulling a small travel trailer and it was about 8:30 pm. We were starting to see a lot of deer and tired from driving. Found this campground pulled in to find an oasis! The park is paved and the pads are also paved and level. Every spot has a picnic table that is ADA accessible, a fire ring and space between campers.
If you are lucky enough to get a spot here, snag it!!! I wish we were staying multiple nights here because it is so beautiful!

This is a wonderful BLM spot! Right by the Salmon River with beautiful sights backing up to the river. Camping sights are well spaced with paved parking. There are options of pull through or back in for travel trailers. At every spot there is a picnic table, spot to grill or use as a fire it.

More than worth it! Beautiful National Monument with rich history. Please give yourself plenty of time to read about the history in the visitor center, listen to the National Park Rangers talk about the history and events and then walk the paths around the park. This was such a monumental event in history and the park does well looking at it from various prospectives.

Unfortunately, we arrived an hour before it was going to close and that didn’t give us enough time to really read and listen to all the great information. We used the National Park Service app to listen to the history and took tons of pictures of the information so we could read it later.

This was well worth it!!!

Nice quiet park with lots of shade and clean showers. The park is easy to get to and easy to walk from to get to local food carts.
