A museum and bookstore are located in the visitor center. Visitors can also watch an orientation video.
One of the best national monuments I have ever been too! I’m not a huge history buff like my husband but ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Being able to picture the events and how they played out and so much more. This is a must see. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to be able to take it all in.
More than worth it! Beautiful National Monument with rich history. Please give yourself plenty of time to read about the history in the visitor center, listen to the National Park Rangers talk about the history and events and then walk the paths around the park. This was such a monumental event in history and the park does well looking at it from various prospectives.
Unfortunately, we arrived an hour before it was going to close and that didn’t give us enough time to really read and listen to all the great information. We used the National Park Service app to listen to the history and took tons of pictures of the information so we could read it later.
This was well worth it!!!
