Bigfoot Deb

Arrived on a Saturday night in September and there were only 2 other campers here. Beautiful and peaceful site with lots of space.

I agree with other reviews that the campground seems worn down, but I have never encountered such a helpful and nice host. The camping was nice even though there were quite a few permanent residents.

Good things: Lots of sites available, nice walk by the lake and pretty area in general. Bad things: hard to pull in many sites due to single lane camp road with sites perpendicular to tiny road, no representative on site to pay (have to sign up on Ohio's state website, with minimal phone connection), no turnaround for long rigs at end of camproad.

This area is mostly filled by long term campers with boats. There were not many sites available but we found a nice one. You have to register at the camp manager's place right at the beginning by the dump. Sites are long and roomy. Electric and water available at most sites. Bathrooms clean with shower. Lots of water access for all types of boats as well as roped off swimming areas with nice beaches.
