It was a long drive off 260 to find a spot. Turned off of Hwy 260 on to Rim Rd, then right on FR 169. Drove 7 miles down FR 169 before finding a spot. It was Memorial Day weekend and got in Saturday morning, so many spots were taken. We found a great spot with shade and fit a 30ft and a 38 fifth wheel.
Rim Rd was very rough and washboard the entire way. Turning off on FR 169 I expected worse, but it was great!!

I’ll definitely be back to this area. Great SXS/UTV riding as well. And quite at night.

This place was GREAT! Easy access and plenty of spaces. We stayed about 1-2 in. Pretty level and surrounded by pines. It was moderate traffic for Memorial Day weekend with UTVs and cars, but that’s to be expected. Definitely a dusty place to stay, but that’s to be expected too. Had a great time and will be back for sure!

Came down to go into Sonoita and hit the wineries. Not as many spots as other areas, but we just had one rig so it was fine. Only 5 minutes from the highway making it easy to get out and down into town. Very quiet and peaceful.

Spent the weekend here last weekend. Went 4miles down East Cottonwood and found a spot with few neighbors. Other than the washboard road this was a great spot. We came to ride Box Canyon and this location was primo!

Came out to Empire Ranch for the maiden voyage with my toyhauler and it didn’t disappoint. Most of the site are large and accommodate group camping, we had 2 toyhaulers. Road was in good condition. Cell service was good as well, I think 3-4 bars with Verizon. No noise at night, and a few OHV during the day (including mine). No water hookups or electric, but was there to boondock anyway.

Stopped here for fuel on my way to Strawberry on 5/26/2022. Being the holiday weekend it was very busy. I pulled in and was behind another toyhauler filling up, and left room for other vehicles to go through. Checking my camera I also ensured that I wasn’t blocking the highway. After about 5 minutes of waiting, the “manager” came out and began yelling/cussing at me that I was blocking traffic and that I almost caused an accident on the highway (there is a turning lane and I was in the lot with another vehicle behind me in the lot, so not blocking traffic on the highway). She was unbelievably rude. There were a ton of vehicles all over, filling with fuel, dumping and getting water. I told her there was no place for me to go as there were vehicles at all the pumps, and to my right at the dump with not enough room to get through. She then threatened to call the police and said, “I really don’t care if you get gas here or not”. I couldn’t believe this was a person that was in a management position! A few minutes after she yelled at me the vehicle in front of me was done pumping and I was able to fill up and leave.

Several in line to dump, so the dump is open. Not sure about water, but it’s probably open too.

I’ll never come here again!!

On my way home I stopped at the Speedway at the roundabout by Home Depot. Staff was really nice when I went in to ask about their dump station. Skip this place and drive 5 minutes down the road where the staff aren’t rude and completely disrespectful to customers.

I’ve stayed here several times and always enjoy it. Most recent trip there was no water available so I had to fill before entering. Dump station worked though. Sites are nicely spaced and the views are great. Only downside is there isn’t anything close for shopping or restaurants. Not the end of the world though, it’s a very peaceful campground.

Stayed here 2 nights over the summer and it was a great little RV park, the website pics don’t do it justice. Stay right next to the old pit, and just above the Copper Queen Mine Tour parking lot. We did the tour, and walk all through Old Bisbee. Full hook-ups, great shower house/laundry, but spots are a little tight. When we want another Bisbee weekend getaway, this is where we’ll be going.
