This is a very popular park. The sites are large for the most part level and private. Our site had direct access to the water, so could easily put our kayaks in and leave them on the shore. There was one over the air, TV channel. Cellular service without using our Wii boost was only one bar. There is a camp store just outside the entrance to the park if you forget any groceries or camping supplies. The lakes comprising this provincial park do not allow motorized boats. therefore, it is safe for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
We would definitely return.

We stayed in site 1409. The site U-verse direct access to Georgian bay. Our dogs love to swimming right off our site. This area has just recently been electrified. So 20 and 30 amp is available. This is a very large park with many different areas with both electric and electric sites. There is only one area with dump stations so we can get busy at times. There is also water fill at the welcome centre and by the dump station.

We spent the Victoria day weekend at this park. The weather was reasonable our dogs loved the beach and play area. It was too cold for swimming. It’s a great area to bicycle as well as take your kayaks. The camp store has the necessities along with dry firewood. We would definitely return here I would like to spend a week or so in the summertime. We walked a couple of the trails which were well groomed and a reasonably easy walk. They have rentals of canoes and kayaks. Early spring the black flies and mosquitoes were a little annoying. We stayed in the trailer pulls through site which also had 50 amp power available which is a rare commodity at a provincial park it also had a water spigot on each of the trailer sites.

We arrive for Thanksgiving weekend. The park is extremely popular. Many of the sites are fairly close together. Stargazing is spectacular as it is very dark in this area without any light pollution. The water is crystal. Clear and great for swimming. There are plenty of options for cycling and hiking. There are two dog parks.

This is one of our favourite provincial parks. It’s easy walking distance to the beach as well as the dog beach area. There are a number of trails some of which you can take your bicycle on. It is an extremely clean campground with adequate showers and sanitation areas. The Park store has the essentials along with souvenirs and scooped ice cream. The word for campfires is reasonably priced and dry.

This park on the shores of Lake Simcoe is great for sunset viewing. The sites are quite large electric only. Water is available to fill your tank in a couple of spots. The dump station is by the entrance to the park.
There is an off leash area for the pups
Mosquitoes are vicious in the springtime, but come July. It is great camping. The town of Orillia is close by for all your needs.

There are a number of sites that have a water access. There are a number of beaches at this campground. There is also a great area for your dog to exercise and swim at the beach as well.
