We don’t do many RV Parks, but this one is nice. It’s great to splurge sometimes. I love the design of the office/pool. For full review see my video on The Gimpy Camper.

This is a great backup to plan around Rhea Springs. I think Rhea Springs is a nicer (largely due to the bath house.). This is also a great area though! See my video review on the Gimpy Camper. A lot of people use construction generators here (when I was there anyway.)

This is the best free campground I have ever seen. Multiple campsites on the water. Great swimming. Great camping destination. Only drawback to me is that there isn't electricity. I have a generator, so that fixed that! Check out my associated blog post that is listed here for my youtube channel "The Gimpy Camper"

This place was such a great and unusual experience. They do not have a reservation system and ask if you call ahead and make sure they have a site open. Tent camping is $10/night but if you have an RV a full hook up 50 amp service site is $30/night. I was actually planning on dry camping and didn't have the need for a hookup but with the camper they said the price was only minimally less. I'm actually glad that it turned out this way because my RV furnace messed up that night and it was 20 degrees. So it wouldn't have been fun without the electric heater. This is one of my wife's favorite spots, mainly because of the goats. I mean it's like a movie set and a petting zoo all in one.

I really liked this park. I'm not really a huge fan of the craziness of Pigeon Forge. This is a great value. I have a blog post as well as a video that I will be linking to this park in the coming weeks. Can't say enough good things about it.

This campground is contained on a beautiful property that is essentially a peninsula which is the spot where the Ocoee and Hiwassee Rivers meet. The area is beautiful. The campsites are pretty close together which is why the place doesn't get more stars. They also have pretty strict rules, but from the looks of things have some permanent residents. It states large dogs may be denied due to breed, but no specifics on what breeds aren't allowed. Check out my review video that is posted under blog postings for more information.

We love Norris Dam State Park. However, I guess you could say we are more of a "West Side" type of person. To me it feels like the East Campground is an afterthought to just have more spaces to cram people. It's just basically an open field with no shade. There is much more shade and a nicer bathhouse at the West Campground. The west bathhouse is air conditioned and new. Now I did hear someone say that it had burned at one point, so I guess it was possibly updated then. The bathhouse at the East Campground is very simplistic, no air conditioning, and very low water pressure. I don't recommend staying at the East Campground unless you like a big open field and staring at a substation tower. If you do go I would recommend sites 2 and 3 the most, as they are the only ones well shaded. If you are tent camping and have a canopy for shelter then I would suggest site p2, but it is very open with no shade and at the base of a substation tower. Check out my blog review that is linked for more information.

Clabough's has a lot of fans. I understand both sides of this story. We usually avoid Pigeon Forge in general as we are only a couple hours away. We just don't care for all the crowds and commercialism. That being said we do like to go to Dollywood every so often so we are going different places around the area. This is an RV Park and as long as you are ok with that setting and don't expect to have any privacy or "yard space", then this is a nice place. It is very clean and they do have some ammenities you usually don't find at an RV park including a bounce pillow. My daughter loved it.
